Napoli, Milan, Inter, Juve and Atalanta are the top candidates for the top 4 finish. Lazio, Roma and Fiorentina needs a solid season to have a chance to get there, which I doubt.

I think Atalanta will get better once they get Gosen, Toloi and Pessina back.

Anyone thinking Roma was capable of anything over a 7th place finish is deluding themselves. If Mourinho gets to any position ahead of that, it's a great feat. That team sucks and needs to get rid of 15 players and the issue is that a few of those arrived this summer, like Tammy fucking Abraham

Poor JJ getting his first start in 2 years apparently... He really did play well for us for a few months! Shame he fell off. I miss his bromance with kovacic lol. Wild times.

edit: one look at Simeone's clothes will tell you the level of effort he's putting in.

edit the sequel: this ref is unfortunate

We are only 12 games in. How can you make any credible prediction based on that? A 10+ points lead can diminish within 2-3 weeks. There's plenty of time to get even this mediocre Roma side working well together.
(Same goes for any predictions about our team - 11 games are barely any evidence for how "convincing" we are vs small teams.)

It's really up to Mourinho how he handles these crisis weeks.
You previously said "easily" though, sure it's still possible for them make top 4

I guess it means that Paulo Fonseca actually achieving a great feat with roma last season. Friedskin should've stick with him instead of wasting resources on the toxic ancient relic

The Napoli vs Verona match is getting a little spiky.

Yes, should be very doable. Roma's squad is not much worse than the other 4th spot candidates. So many folks here buying into Mourinho's narrative and underrating that squad.

They finished 7th, on par with 8th Sassuolo.

And their squad regressed.

Toxic ancient relic is an Inter legend and deserves the respect that bandwagoners apparently aren't willing to understand. And we'd be lucky to have him.

Mourinho was great for us when he was here, but imho, his style of football is out of date now, and his approach isnt really in line with modern football (e.g. hanging players out to try publicly).

The man hasn't made a good career decision in nearly a decade.
I think he wasn't bad at MU at all. MU made a wrong decision by sacking him

In any case, none of the so called top managers won't be able to repeat what he has done in the past. Leading a small club like Porto to the top of the Europe is not for everyone.
