Would be a shame to lose any of Parma, Fiorentina, Cagliari, or Torino. The league needs the biggest clubs to be in the league and hopefully with fullish stadiums (when allowed). However if they are shit enough to get sent down I guess it is what it is. The beauty of European sports as an American is that it’s more merit based. Who knows maybe there’s another mini-Atalanta or Sassuolo waiting to surprise us.

Imagine being Diego Godin. Going from captaining one of the best sides in Europe to going to Serie B within 2 years.

- - - Updated - - -

We now have 5 players a yellow away from suspension: Barella, Bastoni, Brozovic, Hakimi, Lukaku. Our next two matches are somewhat "easy" being Genoa and Parma, although Genoa are in good form and you could argue there are no easy games.

Let's talk about the relegation battle for a moment.

As of now, it's all but certain that Crotone are going down. No real loss there, as they're by far the worst team in the league. The concerning thing is that we're liking going to lose two of Cagliari, Parma, Fiorentina, and Torino this year. It's just embarrassing that teams that we need in the top flight are this awful. There's a chance Benevento goes down, but honestly it's going to take them absolutely bottling it to go down at this point. Should we root for Cagliari to go down so we can maybe get Cragno on a discount?

Empoli and Monza are the most likely promotion candidates.

Fuck Cragno but also fuck Monza. That shithead Balotelli doesn't deserve Serie A - and you just know he would score against us (playing for Berlusconi no less) if they got promoted.

Would be a shame to lose any of Parma, Fiorentina, Cagliari, or Torino. The league needs the biggest clubs to be in the league and hopefully with fullish stadiums (when allowed). However if they are shit enough to get sent down I guess it is what it is.

I've gone on about this ad nauseam but it really is disappointing to see the bigger teams (biggest among the small fish) do so poorly. They're not just fucking themselves up, they're making the league worse for the rest of us too.

Teams like Spezia, Crotone and Sassuolo (who are actually tiny), bring such little revenue and fans to the league as it is. But to lose some traditional fan bases like Cagliari and Torino just makes it worse - especially if they're replaced with the combined 500 fans and €2,000 revenue from the likes of fucking Monza and Cittadella.

As I always say: 1) really worth considering reducing the league to 18 teams and 2) these traditionally bigger teams like Bari and Palermo need to get their shit together.

Imagine being Diego Godin. Going from captaining one of the best sides in Europe to going to Serie B within 2 years.

We now have 5 players a yellow away from suspension: Barella, Bastoni, Brozovic, Hakimi, Lukaku. Our next two matches are somewhat "easy" being Genoa and Parma, although Genoa are in good form and you could argue there are no easy games.

I feel really bad for Godin.

I was speaking about this in the whatsapp chat  Since Ballardini, Genoa have gone from a strong relegation favorite to one of the most in-form teams in the league - just in time to face us :D Considering we dismantled and negated the most in-form team in Lazio though, I'm still expecting a routine victory.

Could be difficult however, if several players get suspended in the derby.. also with the non-optional Destro and Pandev goals.

Fiorentina are currently 7 points over the relegation spot, hopefully they don't go down because it's already embarrassing enough that they're in that spot to begin with. Although if our financial issues are softened by the summer it would be nice to make moves for Castrovilli and Milenkovic if they do go down.

Torino also hurts as they're the biggest club in their city. But if Cagliari go down we will be stuck with Radja again

His decision to wave the white flag and sub off his best players was mind-boggling

They have CL football as well and no so good depth.

Bring back Godin if Cagliari goes down. Gio Simeone could be a good back-up for CF position as well. Inter should go for Belotti, whether Torino goes down or not. After this season he will have one year left in his contract and we could get him for a reasonable price, specially if Torino goes down.

Simeone is average as fuck. Belotti on the other hand, would be a fantastic backup. He would keep LuLa on their toes.

We should keep an eye on Fiorentina as well. Castrovili is a no-brainer whether they go down or not, so is Milenkovic. But if they go down, wouldn't mind Amrabat as a midfield option.

First, let's ensure we don't sell any of Skriniar, Dr Vrij, Bastoni, Brozovic, Barella, Eriksen, Lautaro, Lukaku, Hakimi.

Some stupid quotes from R&B forums about Bbilan's lose would be fun to read.
I don't have to wait long. You are welcome

Have you guys watched Inter this season?

Our worst wins are like their best wins.

They literally play like shit, they counter-attack like they are a small team playing against prime Milan. That is their entire season.

If Milan played like them week-in, week-out, you would be predicting our doom.

There's no doubt that we played very poorly against Spezia, but that shit happens. If we continue to play like shit in the EL, maybe it's worth worrying about, but ultimately I am not going to freak out until the end of the Derby.

Hakan, Kessie, and Bennacer played like shit, and that hurt us the most. They are the key to our system and style of play. The team got to the half at 0-0 and were like "okay, we'll just turn it on now," but they didn't, and it bit them in the ass.

I just think it's funny that when other teams have chances (which will always happen) that it means "we didn't play well." Again, have you guys seen Inter? They literally live-and-die by Handa's form. If Handa has a below-average game, they lose. Their strategy is literally just kick the ball to Lukaku. We've weathered a pretty bad injury crisis, and I think Pioli was wrong to bring back Kjaer, Bennacer, and maybe even Kessie--they all looked either tired or unfit.

But that's fine, mistakes happen, and Pioli isn't Conte, he takes responsibility for his fuck-ups. This loss better motivate this team, they better be hungry, they better be out for blood, and Ibra shouldn't go to this fucking festival, we're not 12 points ahead.

Btw where are the comments "We CaN wIn WiThOuT kEy StArTeRs CaN yOu ImAgInE hOw ScArY MiLaN wIlL bE wHeN bEnNaCeR aNd HaKaN aRe BaCk?" ? Yeah I see it, you lost Spezia 0-2 with zero shot on goal

In a very down to earth reply, MilanMB says this to that ridiculous post

Well, you are quite wrong about merda. I hate to say it but the play very good football*right now. Press high, move the ball quickly, stable in defense and deadly on counters. I have watched like 12-13 games of merda this season and it is a fact that they started slowly, actually played like crap for months, but they stepped up big time in 2021. In literally every game they create at least 4-5 amazing chances and Cunte finally figured how to use Eriksen and Hakimi correctly (both were crap until December). Lautaro has already missed like 15 sitters. Hakimi could've been with 10+ goals and 10+ assists by now if he was a better finisher. Point is, they create a lot. They still have flaws, but right now they play better football than we do. However, they are extremely Lukaku dependant, but that means nothing as he is always fit to play. If we manage to isolate him (Kessie) we could beat them. If we allow them to play 'their' game we will loose. We really need to step up in the next games otherwise we will go from 'we can win the Scudetto' to 'there's a chance we drop from top 4'.

They are afraid indeed.

Ofcourse, we are too. We are afraid of a stupid penalty gift to Kessie from an Inter hating referee, someone like Abisso . Afraid that theyll outplay this black blue machine?? Never

Gonna be the biggest Milano Derby in years. Both teams will be on their A game.

I miss Abate-Milito combo :(

Indeed it's gonna be a very special derby this time. We have been complete garbage for an entire decade and the derby lost it's own enthusiasm like it was back in the day. However, as for now it's not like both teams are world class or whatever, but somehow we are better than what we have been and the compeititon for Scudetto between both teams is exciting.

Lack of fans just kills the mood for me. Milan, Roma, Sampdoria, Crotone, Brescia, Pordenone. Same shit...

Only the Juventus game really seems to matter much.

Agree, but it has been for a while like this, so I'm kinda starting to get used to it.
