I actually agree with everything in there.Lippi is an asshole for politicizing the issue.Cassano,Pazzini, and even Miccoli should be given the chance at least. They sure are better than anyone on that list. This stuff about Marchionni stinks too and the Amauri ordeal is bullshit if it happens on the expense of real italian talent. The guy hasnt scored since the stone age!!!

Also heard his son is the agent of some of Lippi's favorite players. His son you should know was investigated in the Calciopoli.

C4 just reported that Pazzini has scored 21 goals in 31 appearances for Samp since moving from Fiorentina. It is astonishing that this kind of form still doesn't get you a place in the NT.

Pazzini doesnt really do much, no movements what so ever. His finishing is getting better.
I dont really care about Pazzini that much, but its criminal to see Cassano still being ignored. Why dont the Italian press or anyone else ask him about this decision? Lippi is living in the WC 06 euphoria. It really does look like him and Italy will come crumbling down next year.
I guess Lippi doesnt believe in aging process. I just dont see why players like Gattuso, Pirlo and Zambrotta are still in the squad.

Who else can he take?? I mean besides Cassano and maybe Pazzini, Lippi is really picking the best of what Italy has to offer. Maybe I am alone on this, but other than Cassano, there really isn't anyone that I feel clearly should be called up...Think about who Donadoni used to call during Euro 2008...Panucci, Barzagli, Materazzi, Ambrosini, Toni. No coach selects the perfect team...

What do you mean besides Cassano and Pazzini? Cassano is the most important player there is you make it seem like no big deal. What about Motta? If he thinks Amauri is deserving of a call up the Motta definetly is. Gattuso in the starting line-up is ridiculous, why not D'Agostino?

If Santon gets called up, So should Giovinco and Balotelli... That's how I see it. I'd get Totti on the bench aswell. Miccoli, Cassano and Pazzini should replace Gila, quag and Inquinta... Just my opinion.

Sandroni, Totti retired from the national team. Donadoni tried unsuccessfully to call him back.

As mikey G said, the latest selection is almost as appalling as Maradonas choices.

Totti has publicly stated he would come back if asked...

Iaquinta as a winger...I don't believe that but I like Pirlo as an AM and Camoranesi despite being a fkn cockroach is still a good player. Palumbo and especially Zambro are very questionable...

Have you seen Zambrotta's and Gattuso's performances recently? No way should they be picked. How can you explain Marchionni being pickewd while at Juve and he was terrible as against him playing regularly and very well at Fiorentina?

De Rossi has now come out and said that Lippi might not pick Cassano due to his lack of goals. Now that clearly signals the kind of politics going out inside the camp. On that grounds, Pazzini would come much ahead of the other strikers.

De ROssi is probably being urged by Lippi to say such a thing.Cassano deserves to be there along with others who are doing well in Italy but being ignored for reasons unknown to us.

LOL he received 1 cap when he was at Juve and 1 cap when he joined Fiorentina...please at least have an argument before trying to make one up...

He actually had 2 caps while at Parma...oh boy Lippi must be favoring Parma now too...shit!

Di Natale - 9 Goals

Pazzini - 4 Goals

Gilardino - 3 Goals
Iaquinta - 3 Goals

Quagliarella - 2 Goals

Rossi - 1 Goal

The only person Pazzini is "much ahead of" is Rossi and I don't see anybody upset with him being chosen?? Maybe the fact that Pazzini got a red card 3 minutes into the game against Ireland and cost Italy 2 points could be a reason? But noooo, everyone would rather believe that Lippi is favoring Juve...Lippi even started him after that against Northern Ireland, he failed to score in a 3-0 blowout and missed a PK.

that red card was very undeserved, should only have been a yellow

I understand that and completely agree, but that doesn't change anything, he went off and Italy had to play the toughest team in their group with 10 men for 87 minutes...

I thought italy played pretty well last night, pirlo is doing really well in his new advanced position (i still can't believe moratti gave him away). I hope italy go to the wc with the diamond midfield de rossi, marchisio, camoranesi and pirlo, which is a strong midfield.

Were you watching the same game??? A loss would have been very harsh. Italy controlled the entire game and were only beaten on 2 set pieces...I thought they played well considering they were pretty much testing out a new formation...
