Cambiaso is not an attacker, nor is fratessi, i dont even know if pellegrini should be playing anything other than CM

It will be a shame to see Darmian on the field over Di Marco

I dont know why Raspadori cant play outwide

Starting Retegui is the only thing that seems right about his changes

I dont know how he went from being the master of 433 to experimenting with 3421 only to go with 4231 come tourny and now switch to this BS

Big mistake not bringing Orsolini IMO

Spalletone is hurting Italy so much not giving Bastoni/Dimarco/Barella the perfect formation for them to show all the potential they got, he should do it because those are the best players he has. He is a moron.
It's clearly a 3-5-2 with Chiesa and Scamacca up front. Jorginho trying to be Hakan etc..

Italy like Brazil and Germany are just powerhouses destined to win when they get out of group stage and play knockout rounds.

I think the Italian team who won the WC last time was shit and they still won. Italy finds ways to win. Same with the team who won the euro. Not the best team but the best team doesn’t always win

Spalletti shouldn't make things over complicated only to make all players happy. He is arranging lineup like my nephew playing FIFA. "Hey this dude has 85 overall rating let's put him over an 84 one, who tf cares which role he has".

Inter is the clear best team in Italy. And our players don't get used to 4-2-3-1 or whatever. Dump this crap. Simple as this:

Dollar
Darmian Buongiorno Bastoni/Calafiori
Darmian - Barella - Jorginho - Pellegrini - Dimarco
Chiesa - Scamacca

If Spalletti doesn't know how to operate 3-5-2, it's FIGC fault to hire the coach not suitable for the assets.

We should admit Dimarco game was pretty poor and the change for Zaccagni was pretty good, and Chiesa was the most incisive player probably should play from the start instead of Raspadori but then your bench is clearly worst and there are no revulsives.

Too bad Bastoni didn't score one of those 2 headers...

I think the first half was simply excellent by Italy. Match was in total control and IMO Retegui and Raspadori worked very well. Dimarco is not 100%, was too reserved even if he got to play the wingback role finally. Di Lorenzo had troubles positioning as RWB.

I think Italy should definitely continue with that lineup and maybe find a solution for the RCB/RWB, maybe swap Di Lorenzo and Darmian I don't know. Maybe throw Chiesa if Spalletti wants to be more offensive. And then replace Pellegrini with Fagiolo, Pellegrini is a disaster defensively, doesn't have the smarts to play that role IMO, he's too offensive minded guy.

if it weren't for Inter players, Italy would have 0 wins.

No, he's right. If Spalletti didn't have anti Juve bias he would have dropped Bastoni for Gatti, Darmian for Rugani, Barella for Locatelli and Frattesi for Miretti.

It's easy to criticise Spalletti as he fiddles around trying to assemble a coherent team, but let's be honest at least by saying this is a low-quality squad by Italian standards. How many players have really had a respectable tournament so far? For me it's Barella, Bastoni, Calafiori and Donnarumma and that's your lot. Even the other Inter players in Frattesi, Di Marco and Darmian (last night) have been poor.
