How can you possibly tell that after one 90 minute game?

It’s not like this is our first time seeing him, he played almost a full season at Genoa before he was benched there. Unfortunately he just isn’t the right build for a top tier goalkeeper and he doesn’t have amazing athleticism to overcome that. He does seem comfortable with his feet though, which is nice.

Benched by Perin not some random scrub. At 23 he isn't ready made and still has some way to go, but to say he isn't good enough for a club like Inter is premature IMO. Agree about the build. But he can work on that. Again he's 23.

Andrei Radu is considering a move to Real Sociedad with the Nerazzurri having agreed terms for a move with the Spanish club.

The 24-year-old’s only concern with a move is whether he will have a starting spot with the Basque club, and he is assessing whether he will be able to find regular football in San Sebastian.

In case he accepts the move, Inter will sign Sepe from Parma on loan with option to buy.

I think he was scapegoated at Genoa. The team he played in was pretty poor and the defence that played in front of him was shambolic. He was blamed, in my opinion, unjustly, for the fact that the team was playing so poorly and Genoa conceding way too many goals.

I do not think his season at Genoa is indicative of what he has to offer as a keeper. I also feel sorry for him. His future with us will always be in doubt and he will never get to develop if he does not play regularly: his predicament is that Inter want to keep him just in case but the club does not trust him enough to be a starter. Which effectively leaves him in continuous limbo.

the team was weak, but Radu has also been very bad that season. No wonder he was replaced as the first GK mid into the season. Last time I saw him play good was in the U21 Euro. Being a second GK wont help him, so its best to get him a club where he could be #1 choice. I am not opposed to selling him if we can actually get some decent money.

This might be true, while it seems that he is on a high wage (reason for Inter trying to offload).

Nerazzurrisiamonoi.com report that Radu can earn as much as €2 million net per season, and amount which the club would like to get off of their balance sheet, with the player never having nailed down a starting role.

However, it remains to be see whether any interested club will be able to pay the 24-year-old goalkeeper’s wages, with the amount thought to be part of the reason why Spanish side Real Sociedad moved on from Radu.

Who gave him that much?! :yao:

I doubt we are paying him that much.

Yeah. Radu was earning 1m last season so it sounds bs.

I don't we pay any piece of shit that wants to watch games from the stands at least 1.5.... isn't Pinamonti making 2 million as well. We are broke because we over pay for 7th string players

Radu has decided to stay at Inter and compete with Handanovic.

L`Interista writing that he refused Hellas Verona, Udinese, Real Sociedad and Empoli.

FCInterNews also reported that he chose to stay and fight for his place.

> Brave decision, he probably is getting best training here and he can see how Handanovic is not getting younger.

Well, hopefully he is up to the task then. Probably will get more chances this season.

He's also club-trained so we have now 2 goalies CT status in the CL list which is nice (same as last season).

He might also feel that Handanovic is on the wane, is prone to some mistakes and may feel their is an opening for him. That may also be the case with Covid, in the event there is a breakout and our Captain has to isolate.

However, it would be pretty monumental if Inzaghi decided to bench Handanovic during the season following poor performances. For that to happen, Handanovioc's efforts in goal would have to drop off a cliff and I do not think he is anywhere near that point just yet.

I think he's well past that point actually, but the fact that he is captain makes it impossible for him to be benched. Even Conte, someone who usually has no problem acting tough, refused to bench him.

Yeah, captain status makes it harder to just drop him. I don't think this goalie situation is handled too well. Radu might be promising, but he needs to fucking play, play and play. He won't do that at Inter week in week out.
