I must say this is by far my favorite interview. Never knew how knowledgable N4L was. LOVED reading your responses to the footballing questions
Great answers and technical knowledge along with witty display of humor.
Your insight on football is definitely appreciated bud
Given the current situation of the club I'd love to see your thoughts on how we should play our current team. Who you would like to see transferred to the club in the last 2 weeks and what kind of role you expect out of them??
Working within the confines of our so called "budget" and assuming we do sign Cassano and keep Maicon, then I'd ditch the Pereria/DM idea and look exclusively to a CM. I'm mostly looking for someone with high technical ability and the ability/inclination to play the short passing game. However, given the fact that we've waited too long and have thus missed out on some really good moves (like Valero, Montolivo e.t.c), I'd be inclined to look exclusively for a loan. I'd immediately take the Sahin loan without option to buy at this point. If we're too late there, I'd be looking for similar young midfielders from the top teams, since getting a loan with them will hypothetically be easiest. Might get flamed for this, but I'd try for Jonathan Dos Santos from Barca. Very good technical passing player who will get close to zero minutes for Barca this season. At this point, I'd even consider bringing back Motta (only on loan though). We need a CM badly though as I'm afraid we are very close to playing a defenders-attackers formation
Here's to a brilliant FIF member and one with amazing intelligence of the sport we all love cheers bud!
Would you, as coach of Inter, use Zanetti as starter?
And for which position you would use him?
Without a doubt. If we keep Maicon, LB. If we sell Maicon, RB.
If you had to be abducted/molested by me.. what time are you available tonight?
Does 25:00 work?? :troll:
^ I asked a question earlier.... waiting.
Do you pay much attention to the Gamecocks or Fighting Illini much? Or are they just schools to you?
Nope. Went to game or two at each school to at least say that I did it, but never got into it or followed them. A bit too much to do every weekend; tailgates and all that shit. I just want to watch a game dammit!!
Any player you've coached who might be faster than Ricky in 100 metres and decision wise?
I'm sure I am faster than Ricky in a 100m tbh :trollol:SNAKE said:Stupid question is stupid
25:00? See, you think you're being smart, but that's just 1:00AM tomorrow. You can't escape. I'll see you then
Don't give warnings before you strike, I thought I taught you better than that Unison
The Wall - pessimistic
Well I'm gonna run with this since you keep answering questions
Okay assuming we made the final three transfers of the season, now what formation are you proposing we play ultimately. Regardless I'm curious to your input on how we should play either the 4-2-3-1 or the 4-3-2-1.
4-3-2-1 is, imo, the best for our squad. Honestly though, it is all semantics. Positionally, they are all 4-3-3s, except one has the midfield triangle inverted (DM-CM-CM v DM-DM-AM). The key for us is to identify a football philosophy and playing style.
Garvin,
Next interviewee thread please.
Much obliged. 2 weeks late but better late than never
