Why would Oaktree care about covering an accounting loss by June 30? They can ask for a plusvalenza sales at any point.

Great job Suning. Now for Oaktree to build on this, which I think they will very well.

Calcio finanza says we will make first operating profit since 2017/2018. Will still make a net loss of €40/45 mil.

It’s positive although it is still just Operation profit, so there still a net loss… But halved in one year is an impressive feat. Meaning if this continues Inter might be without net losses in a few years.

It also means we only need to sell players to finance player purchases

dont get how we can make money..... other than player sales. Literally 2nd place in the league and champions league 2 years ago and this year we won the league still that massive loss. No many buys either

Pavard for 30+ some other guys here and there but for a team that went to the champions league final 30-40 m on player purchases doesnt seem insane.

We need to cut wages. I know we have a ton of free agents but man when you see the wage budget of the bench and guys who never play

even if we had sold Hakan we wouldn't have made a profit that is insane

sponsorship money is about to go up. we should be trying to reduce our wage bill and pay a bit less for our top players/move them to bonus structures, and clear out the financing debts

we're only losing money because of the financing costs now, which is a huge leap

Fuck cutting the wage bill we should focus on icreasing revenue and cutting our debt down.... Dont think we can reduce wages much while staying on this level.

We spend a lot on players we could probably cut a bit more on.. or at least move them to more bonus incentives contracts

Personally believe this is largely wishfull thinking.. Even if possible think the savings would be minimal especially considering that our biggest weakness is still squad depth.

Yeah I agree. IMO we are maxed out with the salary reductions if we want to keep this level. Level where we are at least Scudetto contenders, if not favourites, and we try to reach as far as possible in the CL. With Juve coming back with the investments and Napoli probably back in Scudetto race with one-game-a-week-Conte, we need to be ready with our depth at all times.

our top 5 midfielders are on like an average of 6m a year between them, we have some very high salaries.

we spend just 6m a year less than juve on salaries, but they make like 50m a season more than we do

That's just the cost of trying to maintain a title-contending side. If you want to suggest that the club is spending beyond their comfortable means, that's its own argument, but I'd have a hard time disagreeing that further payroll reductions at this point wouldn't also strongly indicate that they're no longer able to support a team with Scudetto ambitions either. "Our five midfielders average 6m", we're playing a minimum of 48 games from August through June, more than that if we advance in the Coppa Italia or Champions League. More than half our schedule is 2-game weeks. We need whatever depth we can get. We got lucky as hell last season that we basically never got any critical injuries happening at the same time as each other...Pavard, Lautaro, Thuram, De Vrij, Bastoni, Acerbi all missed time at various stages, but there was basically no overlap. Mkhitaryan's at the age where his performance could fall off the cliff at any time. We can't afford to have total jokers on the bench, I'm happy enough that some of the deadweight has already been cut with Sensi and Klaasen and such but while Correa and Arnautovic are still on our books there's still work to do there.
