why i understand you would rather go and play this type of team at home and try to milk the clock at the end(which is pathetic for inter) but would not admit that jz is past it and if had anybody else in his spot would beat them. why is it so hard to accept that somebodies time is done he is old type full back can't play in mid because he can;t pass and is getting old.

okay, I knew someone would sink this low....one of the best dribblers? Don't get me wrong(like some here do), I love Zanetti. But just because I do doesn't mean i see everything he does as an act of God He can shield the ball just as any other player with his size. The only thing I like about him, which I read somewhere, was that his pass accuracy which was at an astonishing 90%, but his runs aren't one of them. Sure, I agree that the run against Milan which resulted in a goal was good, but remember that he was next to Van Bommel which isn't exactly known for his speed. Also, his participation in the game could be done by someone else, someone else could do the runs and passes he do. But like I said, I'll get an answer similar to: you hate Zanetti, he is a legend and a god...etc etc.

Javier Zanetti was the man of the freaking match today. I saw him lose the ball ONCE. He dribbled through everyone and kicked so much butt, it was phenomenal.

Samuel was late to make the offside line trap. The Vaslui guy ran behind him then, and was 1 on 1 vs Casta. Casta made the same weird tackle like JC did once.

I sadly didn't catch the game, but from the highlight everything looked so bad. Midfield was all over the place. Cuchu diving in for tackles, the midfield was a void. The midfield was almost in the defense. It looked like Samuel and Juan were too late for the offside trap and God knows where Silvestre was.

It was really bad because I think Stramaccioni wwanted to just secured the 2-0 without attacking much and he wanted to rest Guarin and Sneijder. The midfield was Zanetti-Cuchu-Nagatomo. It was so much disorganized.

JZ is clearly superhuman, BUT he needs to play in wide, not central area's because central midfielder is something else. He'd be more effective as a winger than as a central midfielder (even if you take into account the covering for attacking full-back).

I'd want him to go the extra mile at times tho and look to score a goal! Today he had one such opportunity but opted for a pass to wider area.

His dribbling ability (protecting the ball) is just fantastic, we don't use it nearly enough.
