If u wana go defensive this is your best bet

-------------Julio Cesar-----------------
---------Samuel--------Materazzi---------
Cordoba------------------------------Burdisso
-------------Dacourt----Cambiasso----------
Zanetti-------------------------------Stankovic
----------------Ibrahimovic-------------------
------------------------Adriano--------------

This allmost guarantees that Valencia is not scoring and still gives us something in attack

I would go with this lineup from the start

This is Rubbish,, com'on its a HOME game, we play our game, INTER is different this year which means we impose our game and play the way we play, It doesnt mean we dont take precautions but with this lineup, we are just telling Valencia we are scared.. and please please lert us qualify.

If you want to win the CL< you should have the Balls, and that means go out and slaughter them at home and play cautiously away.

I will play Dacourt- COmbiasso - JZ- Stank
but for sure i will play Maicon and Maxwell and Matrix- Burdisso or Matrix -Cordoboa.
Abra - Adri up front

that way you still conservative in the Midfield but wild on the wings and upfront 3.

Vieira has not been called up. He is still injured and will miss the match.
Why does he always have to do this when we need him?

Edit : I must've skipped a page. I didn't realize this news was old.

Crespo is gonna start with Ibra upfront... that's kinda unexpected... I'd rather have Adri and Ibra bomb away from 1' and then insert Crespo later on when he's still fresh while everyone else has hit the slump... Do you guys expect the opposite to happen?

It doesn't really matter actually, if both are 100% fit and have been scoring goals, either of them to start the game will be okay. May be Mancini wants good finishing in this game, because of Valencia's defence, so he uses Crespo and Adriano comes on later.

What makes you think that?

Just found something interesting...
When Paddy is in the line-up, he tends to stay rightward while Capitano is on the left and Cuchu in the middle. But when he's not present, the midfield formation will then become: Cambiasso-Dacourt-Zanetti

P.S. Finally, here comes my 50 posts "milestone" :mute:

I'm starting to get more and more into this Champions League system. Usually always prioritise the Scudetto, but since that seem more or less wrapped up, I want us to succeed in the Champions League too. It's pretty obvious that we won't receive any credit for our Scudetto, so if we can go real far in the CL, we can prove everyone wrong.

Losing Vieira for this game was horrendous. I just hope that Mancini aren't toying with the idea of replacing him with Figo. Would be a gigantic mistake. Figo is thesedays a bench player for the big games. He was even outmarked by Biondini against Cagliari for freak sake. Dacourt is the way to go.

Have a feeling that Mancini will chicken out in this match and lose the plot. First step would be to play Burdisso as a left-back. That would immediately put ourselves in a position where we won't play our game, but just try and destroy their game-plan. And it will backfire. Players like Miguel need to stay at his side of the pitch, and you can only do that by playing possessional football and have attacking full-backs. It's time for Mancini to prove that he is as good as he has shown this year. Time for the big match.

Their biggest threat is of course Villa. However, after seeing Sweden-Spain a half a year ago, I know that we he can get outmarked by any player. We put Petter Hansson on him, whom uptil that point was a mediocre defender. He even started his career at a local club in my area. :D
So Burdisso (!!!) can definitely take him out of the game if he stays focused.
