Guys, the most usual scenario is the new club pays the salary and when moving from smaller club to a bigger one, that salary is bumped. The new contract is signed (if there's an option/obligation included) with the new club. Most probably happened with Barella, Sensi and Gosens.

Lukaku is a special case and not comparable in a sense as he made the downgrade move and dropped his salary.

Yh I agree with you. The point I was making was that being onloan doesn't mean you stay on your previous salary.

I don't see how are we going to pull this off, wages will probably go up again. We need to resign some players, while also get some new talent because we are getting old/we have certain holes in the squad that needs filling (gaaay)

We could've had more young players integrated in the team since we are lacking players, but no, WE ARE TRYING TO WIN THE SCUDETTO BECAUSE THAT WOULD LOOK REALLY GREAT. Sheesh, even if we win the Scudo this season, we will have to spend money. This will get worse before it gets better. This season will be a top4 season, but I'm not so sure about what will happen after that.

even all three domestic trophies can't compensate inter's costs for longer time. it's not like scudetto retainer can increase club revenue up to 3 times after, only UCL retainer can reach it. forget scudetto, it's time for safety targets, secure UCL zone only, and trust more youth players into starting XI along the season..

The real Scudetto is from Marotta, he sell Lukaku for huge fee, and get him back with few million.

The other is sell Pinamonti and Casedei for 40million.

I doubt Scudetto prize is vital for our financial crisis.

I have to admit buying Correa is a crime after seeing this, no way he can justify the second highest annual cost here.
Before I though he was somewhere around Dzeko's, which is bearable and if he explodes we win, but now he really needs to deliver.

Lautaro net salary is 6.2 and Brozovic is 6 I believe.

Yeah, let's just hope he performs better this season.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised to see that value on C&F as well. It has been on 6.2 since his last contract renewal, or perhaps it's like Barella's contract, with an incremental upgrade per year.
Should we use the known renewal contract value or follow the C&F one?

Okay, that's interesting. I kind of trust C&F.

Maybe it is as you said, that it's 5m now. Reporters like to simplify when they are reporting stuff so they have maybe counted everything together and took the average? (ie. later he makes more than 6.2m if he makes 5m this season)

I bit the same as the reports regarding Vidal salary back then. Numbers differed quite a lot and there were eveb reports his salary would be something like 8.5-9.5m in his last year so maybe it was the case with him too. That initially reporters reported one figure which would be the average of his salary over his 3 year deal, but the true net salary figure in each year might have been different? And that's why paying the "buyout clause" made even more sense.
