Its a moment of truth. Are we still the loser mentality Inter of the last few years who will end up dropping points when CL qualification is within grasp? Or have we turned a corner, and have started developing a mentality to win crucial games no matter what the fuck happens?

Here are all the possible results on the last group match day. Anything is still possible.

This IS the real fucking test. Forza Inter!!

I think its rather unlikely we win this just based on CL forms and how bad we looked against them earlier in the season.

I want to be optimistic but I gotta state the facts.

Based on all the possible outcomes above and the average probabilities of a home win, draw or loss in recent seasons, statistically the probability of qualification is as below for each team:

So we still have a 33% chance of qualifying.

Fact was we dominated Shaktar at their home entirely and only luck saved them from another big-margin loss.

Did u watch the game? Well done on getting the optimistic positive train going.

We just need to hope for no match fixing draw in the other game, it will be a tough fixture for us but we will prevail, Forza Inter, lets do this boys.

Anything is possible WHEN we reach the knock outs!

With all the respect for shakhtar, we need to win, this game depends only on us, we so much better team, if they win its becasue we fuck it up(again) and not because they better.
They make borussia look like bayern, the same borussia we won last night, that in the good case is mediocre plus team.
No fucking excuses, we had to stomp them last game and somhow they had god luck, we need and we will fuck them up all the way out of even EL...
Forza inter!!!!

Can't believe how things turned around in our group. We were practically out before a few days, but all of sudden thanks to our incompetent opponents as well, we managed to win to save our lives and we're back at challenging for qualification spots. This one has to be the most challenging group ever since I watch football.

I would rather lose to Shakhtar and get over the fact that we didn't qualify because we didn't win, rather than we defeat Shakhtar and Real Madrid share points with Borussia. That would be very painful because we could have gotten a few more points if we showed a little more competence in the previous matches while we could have easily won. So we wouldn't have been depended on others in the last round.

What is done is done, but over the years we have shown that we failed big time when we had to win. Gone are the days when Inter had a team that could deliver under pressure and achieve results, but however the chance of believe is given to us, so let's go.

Only 1/9 scenario and 13% probabilty that we'll end up in EL. Good. At least we fucked up just about the right amount.

Not too worried about Real and Gladbach having a walk about and settling for the draw as that only works for Real if we win and they'd be idiots to count on that.

Seems far more likely that if we don't advance, then it's because for the 3rd straight year where a win at home against a beatable opponent would be enough to see us through, we choke.

It cannot be the case again, we have to win this one. If the other result fucks us over, just remember that it's not the other teams fault that we didn't bother winning after 2/3 of the games were played.

I cant help but have nightmares about PSV/Barca B all over. I dont care what’s the result of the other match, just win the game. Last two seasons we blew easy chances against as small teams when the fate was in our hands, now it’s not but have a decent chance. Losing/drawing only means we still have weak mentality.

100% agree. On top of this, Real would want top position in group for the knock-out phase draws.

So it`s all on the team to deliver :eek:blivious: can`t believe we are in the position to be anxious about a game against a team from Ukraine :yao:

We're winning this for sure, the only question is whether it will be Madrid or Borussia to equalize in the last minute.

In 2026. With Candreva as coach.

Cambiasso seems to share the same opinion

“Inter started very well and deserved the win,” Cambiasso, who spent a decade with the club between 2004 and 2014, explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

“They didn’t do well when trying to double their lead. Lukaku made a difference in an amazing way. In one on one situations it is impossible to mark him. Conceding just before half time can kill you but the coach’s reaction make it clear that the team is there.”

“Real Madrid will not accept finishing second, they will play to win. Inter are coming from behind in the group and we can be optimistic.

“I think that the way things are, with a win Inter will qualify. There will be no playing for the draw in Madrid, Inter have everything in their hands.”

He then went on to further sing the praises of Lukaku, who continues to be a talisman for Inter, by adding: “Lukaku is not the same as the others, he is a leader. Whether he wants to say it or not, but he is a leader.”
