First derby win in league for Inzaghi. We starts to win big matches this season but missed 5 points after break against beatable teams, to win some you lose some I guess.

This match definitely felt more like a Pioli loss than an Inzaghi win. I truly have no idea what Pioli was thinking. He trotted out a 3-5-2, seemingly with the idea of catching us on the counter. But he left the best counterattacking player in the league on the bench? We then proceeded to hammer them with a battering ram for 45 minutes, as expected. It was unfortunate that we only scored 1 goal when they were just begging us to attack them. It was like watching a Serie B club try and park the bus in the Coppa Italia. Then at halftime sanity prevails and he switches to his more standard tactics. They proceed to control the next 20 minutes of play, with Inter unable to even string a few passes together.

Lautaro barely put a wrong foot the entire 90 minutes. What a performance. Barella as well though he looked a bit gassed in the 2nd half. Understandable with how much we rely on him.

All in all, the better side won.

The day after, honestly Im not buzzing as much compared to SuperCup, because I was pretty sure we'd win. It feels like we won vs Verona. And Meelan played like them yesterday.

The problem is that our squad is really too weak for 3 different competitions. I would rather go through Porto (for better European points) than focus on Coppa against Juve.

Juve are dirty fucks, I don't want them to injure Lautaro/Hakan/Brozo

To everyone saying our second half was so shit. It is not easy at all to up your game when your opponent is so completely and utterly horse shit. They made a few changes in both approach and subs and they upped their game while we were fairly tired from pressing them so hard for 45 minutes. We are not exactly a team to keep a high tempo for the whole 90 minutes so we were forced to adapt and move the whole team a few yards back. It was almost a mirror of the match we lost 2-1. Luckily for us they are so out of form as a team that we pulled this through.
We should NOT however be so wasteful and actually kill the game early. This happened time and time before, start strong and dominate then gas out.
