As for Ibra behind the strikers... that I'm sure will never, never happens. Unless we will have 90% of our offensive players injured. Ibra is a striker, and playing him behind the strikers would be a big waste.
Mancini knows that well. He was asked during pre match(don't remember which though) conference if he could play Ibra behind the strikers some time. He said simple: no.
And besides that... Ibra never played like that so I would be really, REALLY suprised if he would play there.
As for formation... that's a big question mark for me. If Jimenez is able to play I would go for 4-3-1-2 obviously.
But If not, I wouldn't be so suprised if we would play with 3 strikers up front.
Why? The 2 games we played with 3 up front we didn't have absolutely essential player there... Zlatan. Put him there, and I guarantee he and 2 outher up fron would put Milan defense into shreds.
4-4-2, if some of you know me, can figure out what is my opinion of us playing that
the game im referring to is the roma game at the olimpico
mancini decided to float ibra and cesar back to pressure roma's midfielders, of which they basically play with 5 + totti
not saying that ibra is exactly behind the strikers, just watch to see mancini try to hustle milan's midfield the same way he did with roma
im going to take a stab at mancini's lineup
-----------------------------JC--------------------------------
maicon---------cordoba-------------samuel----------------chivu
-----------zanetti--------cambiasso---------burdisso-----------
----------------------------cesar------------------------------
------------------cruz----------------ibra-----------------------
important points...
chivu at LB:
1. to give stability to the left side of our defense
2. as he goes forward, he effectively switches positions with burdisso, much the same way zanetti would cover for maicon in the event maicon joins the attack
3. chivu + burdisso on left and zanetti + maicon on right, should limit kaka's influence on the game
4-man midfield vs 5-man midfield:
1. mancini should emphasise to ibra and cruz to put pressure on the milan midfield
2. our midfield is essentially a 5-man midfield anyway, the way ibra/cruz decide to bring the ball forward through the middle of the park and playing a lot of 1-2's with each other and cesar
3. not necessarily the most effective, but thats how inter have been playing the past month
suazo from the bench:
1. to be introduced in the 2nd half, to provide pace hopefully to a tiring milan defense
