What the fuck did I just watch :palm:

8 goals is surely attractive, but they outscored us badly from open game goals in our own ground.
Defense is non existent at the moments and this is huge difference from the last season. 2 points in the trash bin and let's hope Wednesday goes well for us.

Sommer is slowing down but i don't blame him for having the Dutch losers in front of him to hold the wheel in the right direction to defend...and Bisseck was cooked epically by that wnb kid Turk Del Piero ...omg was that so bad
Scudetti are won by good defences...ours is far from good
dumfries was struggling covering the right flank all by himself, Bisseck and Frattesi didnt even help. One time Bisseck just birdwatching crosses lol

I’m kind of sort of somewhat almost speculatively pretty sure we’re not winning the league this year 😂 what a game.

Does anyone know what was the last time we conceded 4 goals? The latest I can remember was a 4-1 against Atalanta in 2018.

Our defence was dismal and we were particularly nervous against a tricky dribbler. I don't see Inzaghi as a defence expert so I wouldn't expect him to improve our defence although we really hope so. The situation is more dire because our attack is not lethal enough to deter opponents from attacking us. It would take a massive turnaround to prevent conte-lakaka or rube to win Serie A.

What we clearly need is a CB that is proactive and takes charge. The vice Acerbi

This is such a disappointing result. We had numerous chances to score more at 4-2. We kept on missing one after another and then had to concede those 2 goals in such manner.

Juve had numerous chances to score more at 1-2 too.

This is more of a problem more than a plus. Typical Inzaghi's gungho football is suicidal. We were always outnumbered when they were, ironically, counter-attacking even when we had two-goal lead.

Inzaghi should have pulled both wingbacks to double-mark their two inverted wingers. Who cares if we didn't create more chances? Keep tight and chances would come regardless as without Koopmeiners and Bremer Juve center is shit.

After Juve, Im really worried about Arsenal game tbh.

We have 2 winnable games coming up , Empoli and Venezia. If we can't clean sheet these after this fiasco of a Italian derby then we can write us out from the scudetto.

If you saw the score without watching the game you would instinctively think defence bad, attack good. You'd only have been half right.

The defence has been a dumpster fire all season but I thought the attack was pretty dire yesterday too. Four goals against a team who had only conceded one in the League means nothing here as their defence was almost as hapless as our's was. Two rash and amateurish lunges for stupid penalties and then a failure to clear lines for the Dumfries goal. The Miki one was the only well-worked, hard-won goal though I still though there was an inertness in the Juve defence to allow Inter to play through them - and Inter never score goals like that.

The attack really needed to come into its own for the 15-20 minutes after the score went to 4-2 and Juventus were creaking. It was Inter's most dominant phase in the whole game. But the chances and promising opportunities kept coming and kept being squandered. Thuram dribbles and dribbles and has no idea when to release the ball, Lautaro really is not 'back' because he scored a couple of goals recently and Barella was so frustrating with his poor choice of passes. That was the most annoying period for me, the period when they could have really put the game to bed as we all knew that Juventus would create other chances before the end of the game.

Some other random thoughts. Pavard was poor again. He's not a defender who brings anything to the meat and potatoes part of the job, the diligently tracking, marking, heading and throwing your body on the line under pressure, yet he's also a player who is giving us nothing in any sort of creative build-up phase.

I thought bringing Bisseck on made sense because we desperately need defenders who can header the ball. I'm starting to think that he's a good player to have as a build-up defender from the back against weaker teams, but not one who has enough of the defensive basics sorted to be reliable when under pressure. That's fine, you cannot expect everything from a player of his cost and he can still improve. Not sure we can say that about Pavard.

Frattesi came on and 10 or so minutes later I remembered this having not seen him have any meaningful touch of the ball. A further five minutes later I had to remind myself again he was on the pitch. This is a pattern with him with these games when the match seems to take place around him without him seeing to be able to impose himself on it to any degree.

I'm not especially optimistic for the season and its no criticism of Inzaghi. Management took a punt that they could squeeze another season out of the veteran regulars and all of them - Darmian, Acerby, de Vrij and Miki - have dropped a level this campaign which is not on them, it happens to guys of that age. Meanwhile the one player acquired for a not inconsiderable transfer fee has yet to play a minute of football.

Ok guys I feel like this the dumbest person in the world right now. For some reason I actually thought this game was at 20:45. So can you imagine I go on a betting site to check my tickets and I see the live score ticker showing Inter 4 Juve 4 FT. I check on twitter and the whole Interverse is going insane. I literally just missed the most entertaining Derby D’Italia in history. I’m a total fucking goofball.

I don't think the issue is in one particular player. In the system we are playing under inzaghi we need to defend like a team and that means all players from strikers to defenders. That's what happens when you have an attacking minded, unbalanced coach. That type of effort isn't there so far this season like it was last year, hence the problems we have.

We are currently in such a weird place, none of our formation elements are functioning as needed.

Our defense is way too lulled into a false sense of security, thinking because we create so much it's okay to be careless. I swear to god there was a moment last night when DeVrij was playing as a winger for a few minutes. I am starting to think that the enticing nature of everyone attacking is becoming too much for the backline.

Midfield is not great, injuries or not. When Mhki is the best player on the pitch no further arguments are needed really. I can't tell if Frattesi is terrible because he lacks the discipline or if Inzaghi doesn't know how to use him, and I really don't care. He is not intelligent enough to be a midfielder in our setup and I keep coming back to the same conclusion that we should try him as as striker or get rid of him.

As for our forwards, management should think long and deep about continuing with Lautaro come next season. I've had it with streakiness, and the streaks used to be "only" three months long, not whatever this is. Price of a Lamborghini and reliability of Alfa Romeo.
