In 99% of all televisions around the world it will just look black. So in times of establishing Inter as a new brand, we lose our recognition point number one. Every football fan around the world knew, "black and blue" is Inter...

It looks much better on Icardi than in other photos.

true that, but maybe that is the reason why the font is blue.

Some official hi-res photos from Nike Inc.

Inter will sport a radical new look for the 2014-15 season as for the first time in their history they swap their traditional stripes for a stylish and elegant pinstripe design.
Inspired by the elegant fashion houses of Milan and the youthful style of the city, Inter are proud to express individuality in an original kit design.
The new home shirt is black with a thin blue pinstripe and also boasts a new enlarged and enhanced club crest. The club crest – in the version with the star on the top – will be present exclusively on the jersey.
The shirt has a tailored black collar with a thin blue trim, which has a button at the top, and a placket with a hidden button.
Inside the back of the neck is a pennant tab featuring the St. George’s cross to represent the city of Milan’s coat of arms.
On the back of the neck is "Inter" in a specially designed font, which has been used by the Nerrazzurri’s most commited fans on flags and banners inside the San Siro since the 1970s.
The new home shorts are black with a thin blue stripe along each side, and the new home socks are black with a wide tonal stripe of chevrons on the back.
While this new kit features Nike’s signature design details, it also offers players the very latest in performance innovation, kit technology and environmental sustainability.
The new home kit will be available on sale from July 8 on nike.com, store.inter.it, in Nike Stores, SoloInterStore and selected shops.

I really don't like buttons.

That's because you're still in high school.

Naturally the shirts, and notably the back of them (plus name and number) look much better in these doctored promotional photoshoots. What worries me is that in a more realistic context (see below), the backs looks a bit less fine. In that pic above with the shirts against the brick wall, the back of the shirt looks fine. The lettering font and colour looks pretty good on the back of the shirt. But in the screencaps Wobblz posted, I really don't understand the colour of the lettering, nor the font. I like the fact that our player names and numbers are in blue instead of the usual white. It's a nice change. But surely there could have been a better way of doing it.

This has to be a joke.

Shit font, even shittier when you can see it in full.

The color, the font and the stripes go together like two dicks in a pile of horseshit...

I just noticed that the Nike logo and the crest are visible from the back :D

We're going to see who's right and who's wrong when those shirts appear on the field. :) It'll be clear if Nike has failed or not, cause in the end of the day those shirts are made to be worn on the pitch. If they look good on TV, they're good in my book. Although this comes from someone who's never bought any Inter apparel.

We are creating new superstars! Kovacic and Icardi are obviously the focus of this marketing campaign.
