But before Roma and specially Barcelona, it looked like that. Barcelona match changed the interpretation completely.
I think everyone sees that there's some toxicity within the team, but it's not between players or coaching staff.

I don't think that Inzaghi lost the team in terms of everyone is against the coach, but more like he is not strong enough (as character) to impose himself when the results go bad, and the players get frustrated and split in groups.

Tbh it could be that he lost the locker room in a sense that the players aren't believing in Inzaghi, but against Barcelona they all banded up together, because naturally our players want to play in CL when spring comes around and also Inzaghi had an actual plan to play against Barcelona.

It's a shame we have so many injuries, we'll have to really squeeze the potential of the (part of the second) team until World Cup comes around.
That's the best assessment i have read.

Hahahaha so funny reading your predictions before the game

I have this weird hunch we won't win this one.
yea ok mate

0-5. This is the game where our luck finally runs out (and by luck I mean the luck we had in keeping our losses respectable when they could've been much worse)
I think i'll rather spend time with my gf than watch this shit.
Hope its not more than 3-0 for Barca.
Inzaghi:de vrij will save my job.

De vrij: :yao:
No way we are winning this. Just reminding you guys so you dont get your hopes up.
Lewandowski will dance on our season's grave and put 3 past us
etc. sincerely hope you guys are wasting money on betting!

Seems like Skriniar is the proper captain to have ;)

Did you find out what happened to FIF during the match?
surely it was @FCBarca who brought down fif

Brute force/DDoS attack?

Anyway, this game makes it official: we are back to PAZZA INTER mode!

Never beting on anything. I always spell it some shitty negative predictions about Inter result just hoping I will be proven wrong and Inter will win. If my prediction turns right I can always say I told you, and if not, that means Inter won and I dont give a fuck that my prediction was nonsense. Its a win win situation lol

While @FCBarca gets back to post in here, did you see the post-match reactions?

XAVI ACCUSED INTER OF PAYING REFEREE DURING UCL DRAMA
Barcelona coach Xavi was furious with referee Slavko Vincic in yesterday’s 1-0 loss to Inter and he appeared to suggest that the official had been paid off during the match.
aERS1Hwh

The Catalan side were left with an extremely bitter taste in their mouthes after the defeat at San Siro last night, believing that Pedri’s goal shouldn’t have been ruled out and that a penalty should’ve been given after an apparent handball by Denzel Dumfries in the dying minutes of the match. Xavi was clearly infuriated when speaking to the media after the defeat, calling it an ‘outrage’.

As highlighted by Eurosport IT, Xavi’s anger wasn’t limited to just words and at one point during the match he appeared to do a ‘paid off’ gesture towards the referee, suggesting that Inter had influenced the decisions. The moment wasn’t caught on the broadcast but has since gone viral on social media.

Xavi was booked for his touchline anger during the match and Barcelona are now ready to report referee Vincic to UEFA, believing his poor officiating cost them the match.
That`s not the best way to take a loss in the group of death. Speaking of death...

BARCELONA FANS SEND DEATH THREATS TO INTER DEFENDER BASTONI
Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has been subjected to threats of death and violence by Barcelona fans online after the Champions League match.

The 1-0 home victory was decided by a Hakan Calhanoglu strike, but the aftermath was dominated by controversy over a Denzel Dumfries handling offence that was not considered enough for a VAR on-field review in stoppages.

Barca coach Xavi Hernandez dubbed it an “outrage and injustice,” while the Spanish media have been fuming all day about the incident.

Some have, as usual, taken it much too far and have been sending violent, threatening messages via social media to Inter defender Bastoni.

They sent them via his partner, Camilla Bresciani, who published some of the messages with the comment: “How disgusting are you?”

Among them, the messages promised to break Bastoni’s legs and ensure he never played football again or to simply aim a gun at him and fire.

It is not a good atmosphere being created for when Inter travel to Barcelona for the return fixture at Camp Nou on Wednesday October 12.
Classy as always :yao:

Everybody associated with Barcelona is still crying about the refereeing. They’re setting the table to absolutely fuck us on Wednesday.

I don’t feel like the strategy changes at all from the first leg. We need to defend well and hopefully snag a goal or two when possible. A draw is almost as good as a win here.

XAVI CONFIRMS BARCELONA’S DECISION AFTER VAR CONTROVERSY AGAINST INTER
Barcelona coach Xavi says the Catalans won’t report Slavko Vincic to UEFA after VAR controversy in the Champions League match against Inter on Tuesday.

The La Liga giants were furious with the Slovenian referee who did not award a late penalty to the Catalans at San Siro on Tuesday night.

Denzel Dumfries appeared to have touched the ball with his right hand, but the 42-year-old was not urged to have an on-field review, infuriating Xavi and Barcelona’s staff members.

There were reports that Barcelona would report Vincic to UEFA, but Xavi confirmed today that it wouldn’t be the case.

“We spoke about it and we decided against doing it,” Xavi told at a press conference today, as quoted by Marca.
“I spoke to the president, Rafa, Jordi and Mateu and we took this decision together. I already complained and it’s quite rare for me.”

The ex-midfielder confirmed that Frankie de Jong would be available for the second leg at Nou Camp on Wednesday.
“In the end, Inter closed themselves off very narrow,” Xavi continued, talking about last Tuesday’s defeat at San Siro.
“We didn’t understand the alternatives, it was better in the second half. They did well covering. we are working on it and we are trying to attack better.”

Inter have six points after three Champions League games, while Barcelona have only three after collecting one win and two defeats.
They seem to have cooled their heads ;)

That's still mindgames tho. "We won't do it this time, but next referee to fuck with Barcelona will never referee our games again"

Sure we got lucky, but Barca has done nothing but complain about the ref since last week. Not even acknowledging that their tactics failed. It’ll be difficult but I hope we can have them feeling even worse come Wednesday night.

ok, we got lucky with VAR, but Barca got away with that shit ton of times in the last decade, and on top of that they always complain to the ref even for the small things just to put preasure on them, so fuck them, if we can eat that shit then its time for them to come down to earth....

We didn't get lucky with VAR. VAR can only overturn clear errors, in the live feed with 3 replays neither the commentators nor me could see the hand.

Only after the game with freeze frames and only in one angle can you see the hand and even now I'm not super sure it touched the hand first, and then there's interpretation from the ref because the hand didn't prevent a clear goal opportunity or changed the action that much.

Remember that not all hands are supposed to be called, that's why we were getting so many penalties when VAR was first introduced because they were calling everything.

I actually think handballs like this one shouldn't be called, only when they prevent a clear goal opportunity or are inside the small area, they just need to be more consistent with it.
