I get offended for years now with the misuse of my nation's history and historic region name, I get offended by the random flags with .mk next to them. I silence. I say nothing.

Then I state a reality ONCE after like 2-3 years of silence because I had enough with random statements like the one I quoted. Then I get a personal insult "fuck you yuko" with something else about Greece which I don't even care about atm, and I'm the one who INSULTED ANOTHER MEMBER!! Nice.
A member I didn't know existed and whom I've probably never referred to... Yet I insulted him and I'm the bad guy for silencing for all these years to avoid conflict....

1- You got the infraction because you made someone feel insulted.

The moderators thoroughly researched the issue and felt you intentionally meant to insult.

I don't care about the definition or politics behind the insult and I won't research it, because that does not change my first statement. If it was not your intention to insult, I would have expected a different discussion and approach from you.


2- You're overreacting considering you got a virtual 5 point infraction which doesn't mean much beyond the scope of this virtual Internet forum, and even on the forums it doesn't affect you in any way.


3- If you feel insulted just report the post. We deal with every single report.

We don't report on how we deal with reports. It's not news, and it would've been private even in your case if you didn't announce it. We dealt with everything you reported, no need to go into details.

4- I encourage you to put this whole incident behind you, forget this thread and continue posting as if nothing happened, and nobody will even mention it.

I will only not make a huge deal out of it if FYROM is used as FYROM and not "Macedonia".

Because so far I only see double standards. I don't see people getting infractions for "Macedonia=FYROM". To me the term "Macedonian" for anyone who is not Greek or not from the orginial area of Macedonia who appreciates its Greek history, is insulting and offending. If you fail to understand how important that is to me and every Greek person and every person with basic history knowledge, then I feel sorry for you.

And I did not insult anyone. Apparently you fail to see that the only one getting insulted is me here.

Vardar Banovina is the original full name of FYROM's region, Bulgarian is their original language (and still used but with Serbian letterings + to read Bulgarian media is banned in FYROM for obvious reasons), they are Slavs that have nothing to do with ancient Macedon history and Alexander the Great... and they feel insulted when people call them what they are?

Would you feel offended if I called you Bahrainian? Macedonians is something they are not and it's something my family is, so yes, it is very fucking important to me and even in a small cyberspace, I will not tolerate it anymore.

This is the official page from inter.it for Goran Pandev. It shows his nationality as Macedonian.

Here's his Wikipedia page, it says he is Macedonian (try all the languages on the left).

The official website of the Macedonian national team lists Pandev as a player.

Again, without getting into politics or history, if you have any problem with this guy's nationality, before bringing it up here you need to talk to FC Internazionale Milano, the Macedonian National team, and the Internet in general as the caretaker of Wikipedia. We will revert to their judgment. Mostly I only care about what Inter says.

I don't care either way. He can be from Mars for all I care. Just give him a Martian passport and I'll say he's Martian.

I'm an Albanian, I live in Kosova, but I have no clue whatsoever about Macedonia's name. I've read some things, but still not sure about it. I'm not supporting anyone, and I'm not defending anyone, but as long as Macedonia is in the countries list, then managers from Macedonia will put it as their country. Kosovars had the same problem in a game forum (OFM), because we couldn't add Kosova as our country. Just after our independence, and after we got recognized by most of EU countries, we could add Kosova as our country.

What should Macedonians/Vardaskans do, according to you Yuko? I don't know if the Admins can make FYROM possible, but if they can't, then you must wait for Macedonia's name case to be solved in the court. Once again, I'm neutral on this, not supporting or defending anyone, just my opinion. I may be wrong.
