So why did we let Persic leave to bring this guy for almost the same deal?

This one really has me scratching my head.... Persic is a month younger.....
How is the same deal, as Mkhityarian will earn about 5 mln gross as long as Perisic demanded 6 mln net?
They play on completely different position as well.

As someone who’s watched him a lot, I think Miki can be an excellent squad player, provided he stays fit.

PROS:

Versatility: He’s played everywhere from defensive mid to second striker. Though he’s most suited to playing behind two striker.

Directness: He plays with his head up and is always looking to pass the ball forward. If the team moves around him, you can trust Miki to spot the runs. Despite losing his explosiveness with age, he’s always relied more on game-smarts.

Attitude: Miki is the classroom goody two-shoes. He’s going to work hard, do what the coach says and not cause any issues. IIRC the guy has a law degree, speaks half a dozen languages and basically has no personality whatever.

CONS:

Age: Obviously.

Confidence: He’s great when he builds up momentum, but he can be slow to adjust and I can see him failing to adjust as a bench option, especially if age becomes a factor.

Turnovers: He can be prone to trying high-risk plays and causing turnovers. And while he can often dribble out of trouble, he doesn’t have the speed he once had.

On the whole, I think he’ll do well if he stays fit.

Honest question, is his age going to be a problem in the short term? Because 33 these days feels like 29 10 years ago. Players like Perisic, Lewa, Benzema and many more are having their best years around this age these days.

Yeah age itself is not problem. Age is just a number, doesn't mean anything.

There is then implied stuff from the age like slower movement etc. But every player is an individual so looking at the age is simply useless in my opinion.

Age is definitely not just a number in football. Even if you're Messi or Ronaldo the age affects a lot of things. That's why not many clubs are as generous as us offering several years of deals to +30 years olds. They know older players have little to no resale value, could decline faster and recover slower.

the number of players age it self make us got more deficit and losses every single season. gave some players retirement home, huge paycheck, plus auto golden handshake.

I wonder how well he'll get along with Hakan...
Are you talking about the Turkish-Armenian conflict? If you mean that, I think there will be no problems in the future. At least they're both open-minded people who grew up in Western Europe. I don't think there will be a problem with extreme nationalism.
At least a professional worker should not confuse his political opinion with his business life.

I just said age ITSELF doesn't mean anything. What comes with that is the thing. Like with Messi and Ronaldo, age brings things which makes them worse.

But some players last better than others, so saying a player is 35 so he's useless simple doesn't apply to all players but even if it applies to some or most players.

haha maybe he doesn't want to be #70

can clubs strip players of numbers if they aren't starters?

Like we had some pretty shit players have good numbers in the past and impossible to sell or loan out

We did that with Icardi too. Lukaku got the #9 despite Icardi still being at Inter. But Icardi was phased out so it was a bit different situation.

other than Cengiz, Henrikh also had played with Nuri Sahin, Ilkay Gundogan @ Borussia. So, I hope everything will be just like in the pic

It’s not going to be an issue. It was all hugs and kisses between him and Sahin/Gundogan. Armenians in Armenia are way less anti-Turkish than diaspora Armenians. They constantly holiday in Turkey and most of the clothing they wear is made in Turkey.

Oh if only Mihajlović and Štimac thought the way you did, the world (my world is the balkans) would be a better place.
