Carvajal is injured and I'm sure he'd be called up otherwise.
Isco and Asensio are horribly out of form.
Ramos has been injured for most of the season, 15 games in La Liga and 5 games in CL. If he wasn't 35 years old, he could be called up, but it's probably best for Spain to find new CB starters and this is the step in the right direction. Pique being called up is kinda stupid too, but it depends if he'll start games or not.
