I'm not saying that, but the club team they play for is irrelevant during international duty. That goes for all teams.

If you are a club supporter first and foremost then it is very relevant. Hence while Italy has a majority of gobbi and bilan players can't support them..

Suarez is a disgrace of a footballer. Anyone who says different is delusional. This guys can loose his temper at any time. Not just with biting. Remember against Ghana in 2010. This guy doesn't know fairplay. It happens all the time. He shows no respect at all. I don't care how talented he is, this guy should be banned from professional football permanently IMO.

Edit: It was a clear red on marchisio. He could have injured the guy badly. He could have been out for several months if that goes wrong. So a clear red card.

I don't get the hate for what he did vs. Ghana. If he doesn't strike that ball, Uruguay loses. We would all want to prevent it from going in for that situation.

Not a surprise, only a football illiterate would have thought this Italy team would have beat Uruguay. I said this, I said this. Even without the sending off Uruguay would have found a way.

How can you go into a must win match with three centre backs? Prandelli deserves to be sacked. Maybe if Ranocchia was there maybe Godin wouldn't have gotten the ball.

The ForzaInter forims prove itself to be illiterate time and time again.

 Am I the only one who saw this?

Man, I love Cavani more every time he plays. What fucking work rate, and what awareness of the game. Too bad Suarez fucked up 2 glorious chances when Cavani played out that ball from the back, and that assist against England!

I don't know if it's better with Suarez getting suspended. Now the spotlight will be on Cavani and not that scum, but Cavani seemed to thrive without it.

#URU Captain Diego Lugano: "You have to be stupid to think that mark on Chiellini is from today."

Uruguayan media blames british media for the bite

Some sources in Uruguay believe he has been targeted unfairly. The website of the Uruguayan TV station Tenfield questioned whether the pressure on Suárez was brought about by the British media.

“In the TV replay, as viewed in the press area, it appears that [Suárez’s] face comes in contact with Chiellini without it being clear whether he bites him as was claimed by those – especially the English – who were keen to play down Uruguay’s victory. “British reporters in the press conference asked [coach] Óscar Tabárez three times asked about the incident, saying that: ‘Suárez bit Chiellini.’ Their intention was Fifa should intervene and expel Luisito [Suárez] from the World Cup … It would be good if these Englishmen, who are concerned to have Suárez suspended, remember how they won the World Cup in 1966 with a ball which was not a goal.”

What does the Ghana thing have to do with his temper though? Honestly, I never considered what he did against Ghana to be all that bad, considering he gave a red and PK just like the rules are. This is different as he did something off the ball and didn't get punished. The handball on the line to be is just like a player taking down another as the last man in the 95th minute to stop a one on one (similar to what lots of people here where asking Samuel to do against Livorno)

I just want to make clear that he has zero respecr for the game or the player. He just doesn't know what fairplay means. He denied Ghana the semi final and was proud about it. He acted like a fucking goalkeeper and that's not the same thing like taking down a player in a one-on-one at the end.

I just don't think this guy can represent the "Fairplay" or "respect" badge. And that's why he shouldn't be allowed to play in competitions who have you wear that badge.

Well I get that hate. Of course he wants to prevent Uruguay from loosing, but I eould have done it with fair means if possible or not at all.

Ghana was given their penalty kick and try still botched it. Not his fault for that

you apparently never saw #juveitalia hashtag during euro 2012 eh?

Yes I did, and so what? Like I said, the club they play for is irrelevant during international tournaments. If that wasn't the case than only Juve and Milan Italian fans would cheer for their NT, only Barca fans would cheer on Spain, and no one would support England due to their strong club rivalries.

It still isn't. They're representing their country and nation during that time, and the club they play for is meaningless.

By this same logic it only makes sense that we're all Argentina fans

But a penalty is not a 100% goal, while the ball suarez blocked was a 100% goal. It's just unfair behaviour, and there aren't a lot of players who would have used their hands like a keeper in that situation. It's just unfair and respectless behavioir from him once again.

Look Suarez is negatively influencing other players such as Andy Carroll too:
