Expecting these teams would suck in the actual WC months later? No... Japan had many epic games before the WC, as well as in friendlies against Belgium and the Netherlands and I really didn't see their WC blamage coming... And Ivory Coast are just often good enough on tournaments to pass the group and they actually nearly did it.

I didn't expect Colombia to make such a rise and neither did I understand why, because it was more based on the retarded FIFA Rankings than on impressive results. I'm just still waiting to really be convinced... BECAUSE Japan suddenly sucked a big willy. Besides that I'm just hoping crzd's overly optimistic posts will turn to a more realistic grade. I was annoyed by Colombia's ludicrous fouling against us in a simple friendly in the beginning, nearly injuring many of our key players, but in these WC games they've proven that that was just a one time thing. Can't blame them for that; we've had that ourselves sometimes as well.

All in all I'm not 'hating' on Colombia, they bring a lot of atmosphere into the WC with the dances and the fans duplicating them, but again I'm just waiting to be convinced so I want to see how they roll against real, strong teams. I can say the same for Belgium and ourselves (Chile was a good team though). Uruguay could be a good test, though they were mediocre in the group and if Suarez gets a ban for his idiotic bite you're practically through.

I don't think so. While colombia is winning as a team, and nearly everyone is having good games, Neymar and Messi are completely carrying the team. Without them they would suck. James of course has had a great world cup so far, but he's not that important for his team like the others. And well Robben...Robben is just playing god-like.

Our group was not as hard as Brazils. Croatia was no joke and got screwed. Funny Mexico got screwed out of 2 goals by a Colombian ref now has a realitivly easy way to the final 4 if they can beat Holland. Instead of a Colombia V Mexico last 8 we will get Brazil!!!!!
