Just rethinking everything id say Inzaghi is well aware of Asllani's qualities and wants to keep hold of him. Calha was the only one without a replacement so he pushed Asllani because he had the confidence he would handle it so that makes me believe he rates him highly.

Dalič has the biggest luck in the world behind him... If anyone told me that Croatia will win the Euros playing like shit, i would not be surprised.

oh and, if he had balls, he would not even call Modrič and Brozovič to the national team anymore.

I haven't seen the match today, but he pretty poor against Spain, but then again, who wasn't?

Modrić can still be productive, but he can't carry the team forward as he did in the past. Brozo doesn't seem to be as sharp anymore.

Croatia had to make major changes, not in the squad, but at least in the line-up and make the team remain still competitive while keeping veterans.

Then again, Croatia's decline as a whole has been obvious for a while now. I don't know why people are shocked out of nowhere. @bubba zanetti already mentioned some interesting points earlier. Dalić was quite lucky in earlier period, as he got away with poor decisions and tactics.

Yeah, asking Dimarco to have oodles of defensive responsibilities is not wise. Additionally, both Pellegrini and Calaflori are on yellows as well. Probably should at throw on Mancini instead of Calaflori so he can assist Dimarco.

From 70 to 90 minute against Albania we were really good. Why? Cause he subed Majer and Broz, changed tacticts to 4 2 1 2 1 with Modrić and Kovačić as DM and Sučić as AM, Pašalić as AM right Kramarić as AM left and Budimir upfront. Modrić finally could breathe playing more behind, plus Sučić is big upgrade over Broz. He fucked up in the end bringing Sosa who is out of shape and our whole play and defend collapsed in last 5 minutes. If he starts this vs Italy we could be competitive, but our defend looks horrible, Sutalo totally lost his mojo in Ajax, he is unrecognizible in this tournament. Problem is that we have a coach who asks Modrić advice for who should start and play. Dalić believes that he owes something to Modrić, Broz and Perišić cause of previous succes with NT, he is like father to them, so he refuse to bench all of them and play young and talented players that can answer to all dificulties we have right now. Guy clearly has lost it, its not about the love for some old players, its for achieving good result. He has no balls to say to Modrić that he can no longer be a starter cause his body cant make it anymore, on this level, I also blame Modrić for that. Because of that, and ofc his lack of tactical knowledge, we dont look as a proper team anymore. Italy will eat us alive. Hope Dalić is ex after this, thanks for memories but its time to go.

I forget to say also this. I think our only hope is Italy to beat Spain and play against us with a B team.

good for Rakitic to see himself as the best Croatian player... If he was still playing they would have much bigger chances.

No way. You probably didnt watch his stint in NT. Many years of criticism and bad performances for him. Cant compare him with Modrić who is our greatest footballer of all time. For NT too. And we had before great players like Suker, Boban, Boksic etc etc.
