Better than Arnautovic tbh.

Dreams sometimes come true. Giacomo De Pieri achieved his in the 76th minute of Inter 3-0 Monaco. The Inter captain scored three goals and then left the field. When the electronic board displayed 10-49, Giacomo De Pieri made his Inter debut, replacing the captain, Lautaro Martinez. Born on 29 December, 2006, and used to unsettling defences for the Primavera side, he made his full-debut for Inter, coming close to a goal in the final minutes. It was an emotional moment for him, something he spoke to Inter TV about after the match.

The emotions are endless: it's a dream come true. Seeing the stadium from pitch side is special, it's a dream that I've had since childhood. Five or six years ago, I'd have never believed that I'd get here, but with my work with the youth sector, it's become an objective. I now want to help Inter in anyway possible, and one day become a First Team player. When I went onto the pitch, the coach told me: 'Play calmly, like you know how to, give your best and enjoy this moment'. He calmed me down as much as possible.

I liked this kid's dribbling and energy. But still need to see his finishing. You can't be a pro winger without good finishing nowadays.

And they say Inzaghi hates youth :yao:,not to mention the gradual increase on using Asllani and trust over the seasons.

A 20 minute appearance in a game that was effectively over doesn't change Inzaghi's horrible track record of finding minutes for players under 25.

I wonder if we’ll see him at all in serie A this season.

He is changing positively. Three years ago if anyone said Inzaghi could go full catenaccio mode and finish 8 CL matches with 1 goal concede, I would call him crazy :D

From gungho football to complete football. From veterans to De Pieri. Good sign indeed.

The fact we have “attacking right wingers” in our primavera is what’s most surprising to me. We’ve played a 3-5-2 in the senior team for 5.5 years. You would think we might adjust the youth team formation to better suit transition to the first team.

When Conte had first joined it was one of his demands and primavera was playing 3-5-2 for a while. But based on transfermarkt they're playing 4-3-3 now under Zanchetta.

That’s exactly what worries me too. It’s insane to know that our Primavera doesn’t play the same way like the first team. It’s like step 1 in the handbook to integrate youth in your first team.

This really tells you all about our ‘seriousness’ integrating youth in our first team. There isn’t any other team in the world whose known for promoting youth, who doesn’t play the same system as the first team threw the WHOLE youth ranks.

In fairness 4-3-3 probably gives you better positional coverage. Yes you won't develop a CCB that is super familiar with a CCB role in a 5 at the back, and your full backs will need to develop to play as wing backs, but in terms of positions on the pitch a 4+3+3 gives you pretty complete coverage

Yep. And that tell's us that managament is looking at Primavera as a factory of players that will in future be a plusvalenza reather then first team players.
A bit crazy and funny, but still, it's probably "safer" way of managament your young players, since, its realy hard to promote youngster in 1st team when you have high ambitions.

Well, not really, do you assume Inter will be playing 3-5-2 after Inzaghi? Or that Inzaghi will still be here in 5 years time?

You need to produce the talent you have, and then you can make a judgement call whether they fit inter or not. No point importing a formation that doesn't fit your youth team, because they'll be ass anyway. Might as well try to get them to play well and then see how it overlaps.

Also just because he plays a right winger that doesn't mean he can't become a SS in a 352/3511 for Inter later on, when the coach/management deem him good enough
