Both teams are great in Europe, but in this case Portugal have a more team that Germany, and every player is playing really good, thing that in Germany dont happen.

This is going to be very entertaining as well.

I say Portugal gonna advance from this one but I hope Germany going to pull it.

The Germans will probably win this one, but it's time that the Portuguese do a 2000 on them, with Quaresma instead of Sergio Conceicao :D

Just a couple of minute left! EURO 2008 starts now!

Chivu, Vieira and Ibra is out, now I can enjoy this without worrying about injuries.

Is the first hype(azzkikr)-team out? Looks like it, but there's still time left, Germany hasnt been 100% in defence, the ball between wingback and centerback is still dangerous. But it looks like Ronaldo is easily taken care of and Simao is useless as usual.

EDIT: oh my Azzkikr just wrote, I wish this forum could've showns edits under my message right away. Now it looks like I wrote this when I saw his message.

I have a question for Azz :D

How the hell Germany played so well in midfield, and very often get a lot of control over the game, and had a lot of possesion. I mean, Portugese "plays quick", while Germany doesn't(read Portugese are 10x more technical team).

As for the game...

Hah !:p

And what did I tell ya'all couple of days before ?

"It all seems as the same story all over again. Spain and Holland were the most impressive sides now, and they usually are in the group stages, but when it comes to the knockout games, there is where Italy and Germany enters. These are the best of the best in those type of matches. I think one of those two(Spa/Por) will be heading home after quarter finals."

That's just what I've talked about couple of times here. It's teamplay and tactic that is the ultimate power in the biggest tournaments, not individuals, because those Portugal and Spain have at least 3 times better than Germany or Italy, but the trophy record is no suprise to me.

I think we can see similar images on sunday.

ps. Crissy didn't cry :(

Fantastic game! Germany had them from the start, the first half was like a great Serie A-game. The second was like a fantastic tournament game!

Wouldnt say they are 10x more technical. Germany has a very well balanced midfield with worldclass players in Ballack and schweinsteiger along with some defensively sound players as well, that combined with probably the best LB in the world - Lahm was always going to prove difficult for portugal to work against.

Portugal had no ball winners in midfield at all, Petit is a joke and Moutinho got injured, so it doesnt take a genius to predict that they would have problems.

Im very disappointed about their defense though, Ferreira was a liability the entire tournament and the Pepe - carvalho partnership never seemed stable in any of the games.

Jesus christ... You love repeating yourself dont you? Can you please stop stating the obvious? We all know Germany and Italy (although they havent won the competition in 40 years and usualy suck in it) are tournament teams that rises to the occasion, we werent born yesterday.

Can you please stop making long post highlighting yourself as some sort of oracle by making ridiculous posts about stuff that everyone and their mothers know? Its absolutely sickening to read, especially since you praise yourself because you managed to write a long about something that everyone knew could well be the case.

Hold on, ill join your club and predict the sun will shine at some point tomorrow, thats about as easy to predict as the stuff you say - all hail the new nostradamus:wallbang:

If you have to praise yourself, it would be nice if you could come up with stuff that wasnt obvious to everyone.

Germany always win, Portugal always lose.

Italy always win, Spain always lose.

You people don't get this? Germany and Italia are the best of Europe. Always will be.

hahahhaha who said Scolari was a good coach? he is ridiculous, quiting the only striker they have for ¿Nani? Simao better than Quaresma since when?
Oh and fuck the over rated diver, you can't have a player with less class like that, acting aggressions so the German defender gets yellow.

That's not my point. Their midfield can't pass as "quick" as you've stated when we were talking about Inter, and you can't deny the fact Portugal is more technical team, so they should dominate the game, but they didn't. This game is another proof, that with a team that doesn't have as technical midfield can also get something out of the game, and put some fight in it, just like Germans did today.

Yeah, it's easy to talk AFTER the fact. The hard part is to say these things before the game. After the game it's all obvious. Naturaly.

I'm sure that's obvious for everyone. That's why Italy got the second most votes to flop this year in our poll.

ps. I'm not an oracle. I'll try to temper my "oraclness" in the future tough.

Germany midfield is more like us. Portugal is more like Roma.

Roma and Portugal = LOSERS.

i'am sorry for not give more arguments, but it's what i think.
