We have the starting back 4 of a youth team in the worst era of Italian football in God knows how long, and people think our entire youth system is full of Cannavaros and Maldinis

I have no time at all this month to watch football, but I want to watch Dortmund more closely because it's so strange that they beat Arsenal with ease, but have so much trouble in BL. Could be that BL teams figured them out.

From the matches Ive seen Bundesliga teams are really sitting back against Dortmund at times forcing them to play in possession. Without Sahin, Gungdogan, Reus, they lacked that technical ability to break those teams down, and players were awkward trying to take on new roles.

Against Arsenal, they played counterattack, which didnt require that much heightened technical ability from the middle.

Once Sahin, Gungdogan and Reus are all back in shape and form, the team will go back to normal.
