I have zero belief in this theory.

Could be related to the contract situation in that sense that if Dumfries' head is not into the thing right now, but I very much doubt that too. To me it's whoever is more match fit. Dumfries will most likely play in this match anyway at some point.

It might be our weakest area tbh. Any type of severe injury to Dumfries could be catastrophic. Darmian does not have 90 minutes in his legs at wingback anymore.

I think if Dumfries or Darmian wont be available, he will play Carlos Augusto on the right. Like he did with Buchanan on the left.

I think I finally understood why Buchanan was forced to play on the left, I think it is to purely free up Carlos to play LCB; so if we get a LCB back up, quite sure Buchanan will be playing RWB once he recovers, and it should be Darmian last season on the RWB
