What are you talking about? The video above is awesome. I really love the passion from the team, especially from Frattesi. I enjoy it every time Davide goes berserk while celebrating, that's what I love about him.

Having just watched that video for the first time...there's ways to show your passion and exuberance without looking like a mental patient.

Yeah, last season with all those guys starting was such a disaster. :D (Darmian started a lot of games)
you can say thanks to Lauti and Barella. Both players carry 95% of the team so far. Rest follows. till today.

Thing is one year is a lot when you are 34+ in football. You can fall off quickly. Perception of this guys at the start of the 2025 could be very different than what it was last season.

I mean,we are kind of prepared for that. Martinez,Zielinski,Bisseck (?) are our options. It remains to be seen how prepared we are (how good this players can replace older ones) if this worst case happens this season.

I mean I get the outlier argument, but if 4/11 of your starters is extremely old, that might even be your mode (highest prob) age bucket.

Some said we have replacement already for Mihki and Sommer, but do we really? Just ask yourself if J Martinez and Frattesi are starters now, do you have the same level of confidence?
I hope they will turn out fine, let's hope the plan works out.

This actually makes the youth project even less sustainable, cause you don't get a young guy when the old guy retire, you are supposed to play by their side like Sommer and Mihki, except again I am not sure if those two can play anymore.

We don't even have anyone to understudy acerbi, SDV and Damian.

Personally it feels to me like the changeover of ownership prevented some necessary retooling. Whether that bites us at some point who knows, but Inter should still be very tough to beat. I think where we come up short is the CL, we just don't have the roster for that. To my eye at least. But it should be a fun season with a ton of wins and maybe some hardware.

Don't have one.

Short term it's better for us zhang is gone, we would probably sell someone for big money this summer for the club to stay in his hands, and imo we wouldn't have seen any revolutions or retooling if he stayed. Long term, we'll see what the real strategy of oaktree will be.

But agree with everything else, we managed to keep the team that won the title last season with almost 20 points ahead, plus added some excellent depth while other teams are in the midst of major changes and starting all over again. We have experience, stability at least on the pitch and coaching wise and imo title is an absolute must this year. Cl agree is a different story, we lack fast and tricky players there capable of dribbling to challenge for it as serious contenders. As contenders from the shadow, sure...

Capello was pretty disappointed by Inter’s performance at Marassi but admitted that many factors influenced the game and the result.
“In a season with 38 games, the first impression is not the most important,” said Capello.

“That being said, I saw just one player worthy of the team that won the title. Thuram. I must admit that it was quite surprising, given his disappointing European Championship. However, his teammates were far from the intensity that we admired in the team that won the title last season. It is fundamental that Barella, Calhanoglu and Lautaro soon return to being hungry. They are the three souls of the team.

“Many factors have had an impact. Lautaro almost had no break after the Copa America. Calhanoglu played pretty well in the Euros, reaching the quarter-finals, so it’s natural that they are still unfit, but another danger exists.”

In order to bounce back immediately, Capello feels that Inter should show the same attitude as last season.
“Players should not approach matches as they did in the final part of last season when they had already won the title,” continued the ex-Italian coach.

“Against Genoa, I saw a team that overestimated themselves. A team that underestimated their opponents almost as if they thought they’d win easily.

“Lautaro and his teammates must understand that the Scudetto patch on their chests makes all the difference in the world. Everyone will play to beat them, and I have personally experienced this.” - Don Fabio

Tbf the average age is bad but when you figure in the fact that 4? Of the starters at the weekend were 35, take them out of the equation, it's not so bad. Id be more worried if everyone was 30, as we'd need to replace everyone in the next few seasons. Instead we will need to replace 2/season as an ongoing need, which isn't unhealthy anyway tbh.

Mkhi, acerbi, sommer, Darmian

We have replacements already for Mkhi and Sommer in frattesi and Martinez, there is a question imho on acerbi as dv is 32, and Darmian does need a better replacement than dumfries
Frattesi can not replace Miki. Maybe Zielinski.

Was just an example my bro of how we have some younger players close to the first team

I'm sorry to say this, but y'all Yanks really don't like athletes showing some passion - especially NBA giving out technicals for posturing. Nobody is saying footballers are supposed to be smart people. They are mostly athletes on the himbo side of things. So what if they look crazy. Maybe they are.

As far Frattesi goes... If he'll really add assists to his goal tally, he'll be our best bench option for when we need a goal next to Taremi. He might never be as good as Barella is in multiple positions/roles, but he can still be more than just a guy that scores a late winner every now or then.

If that is going to be his role, cool. We need players like that too. Zielinski and Asllani can do other things, this is all quality as far I am convinced. Not on Barca/City level, but much closer than it looks.

WHAT WE NEED IS BETTER WINGBACKS ON THE RIGHT. We'll be crushing teams with a Hakimi on the right.

Re: Fratesi the celebration did not fit the situation. I always love intensity. But if you score and there is significant time left that should be in your mind and driving you to an appropriate mind set.

Way I read it a significant part of what we saw there was driven by him riding a high in how well he played. So there was some selfishness and I do not resent him for it, however if I am the gaffer his ass would be sat down in front of me the next day while I preach to him of the need for wisdom in these things.

It fit perfectly to the situation. It was late in the game, he plays with passion. Because it ended up like it ended just clouds your judgement. It was a late goal.
