What was good about last season was how few unforced errors were made. Often the best teams are simply that, the ones that do the least things wrong. The Genoa game was disappointing because Inter gave up two avoidable goals and that was faintly reminiscent of how they were for most of the season before last when they were something of a soft touch.

Of course its early days and all but they need to tighten up as soon as possible.

Frattesi has so much grinta on him, and these are in-match emotions. It doesn't matter the competition you're playing at, once you score to take the lead after a difficult moment, it's a stress relief.

i actually wish they lost this game... wtf is this? Celebrating like you won the champions leage... fucking sad and pathetic.

After winning Scudetto by 19 points it’s nice to see a late potential winner in the first match of the season against Genoa still means this much to the guys.

It’s actually a good sign

The above video of Frattesi was embarassing. When I watched it, it made me wonder if he has mental health issues or a cognitive impairment.

Thats a real video? I legit thought (and hoped) it was some AI generated stuff given how ridiculous Frattesi was behaving.

What a moron.

What are you talking about? The video above is awesome. I really love the passion from the team, especially from Frattesi. I enjoy it every time Davide goes berserk while celebrating, that's what I love about him.

Tbf the average age is bad but when you figure in the fact that 4? Of the starters at the weekend were 35, take them out of the equation, it's not so bad. Id be more worried if everyone was 30, as we'd need to replace everyone in the next few seasons. Instead we will need to replace 2/season as an ongoing need, which isn't unhealthy anyway tbh.

Mkhi, acerbi, sommer, Darmian

We have replacements already for Mkhi and Sommer in frattesi and Martinez, there is a question imho on acerbi as dv is 32, and Darmian does need a better replacement than dumfries

Then you must exclude 4 oldest players from other squads as well to make similar comparison. We are still the oldest. It changes nothing, problem is still there.

My point is though, with a core of Barella, Bastoni, Pavard, Thuram, Lautaro and Dimarco, it's actually not that bad in the scheme of things
To do the analysis properly you'd want to look at a histogram of each squad. Our average is pulled very high by the grandpas

It's like looking at a country with 1 billionaire and 100 people who make 1 dollar a year and deciding it is really rich because of the average salary

We have an age issue, no doubt, but the star players of this squad and it's core back bone can be fine for another 3-4 years without a manor change to them

Problem with an old squad and 5-6 young core "only" out of 24 is that we can't flip any of them to raise cash. Like Juve or Milan...they can sell some less important first team players to improve the team.

Also in a exhausting league format the more fresh blood from the bench the better.

If you need to replace this 4 that's already too much. You also need replacements for their replacements.

Also I have close to 0% confidence that Frattesi and J.Martinez can replace Mkhitaryan and Sommer on a level that we need. And way more in that we already have Dumfries for a wingback and Bisseck potentially for defense or some other combination with existing players.

Passion is fine, but screaming like a rabid chimpanzee and kicking the shit of out of the stadium glass/canvas/whatever is a bit much in my book.

28.5 is average age of the squad. Second oldest.

Say what you want about Oaktree but we need to get little younger or we are probably fucked in a long run.
yeah, fielding 4 players over 33 yo all at once as starter is inviting another recipe of disaster i think.

even the infamous 2010 final, Mourinho fielded only Zanetti, an over 33 yo player as a starter in that match.
