Bisseck was great all game prior to the handball. Not worried about him in the slightest. Mkhitaryan and especially Sommer on the other hand.

What the fuck was that?! Two amateur mistakes cost us the game. The holiday is over. Inzaghi should teach them a lesson.

Bisseck was great, and the youngest on the pitch as well, mistakes will be made. But our 30+ players, Sommer, Mkhitaryan and Darmian stinking up the place and seen as clear starters by Limone are way more worrying.

We always struggle in that stadium for some reason. The pitch feels tight similar to the Olimpico.

Our last win there was in Oct. 2020 against Genoa. We lost to Sampdoria a few months later and we're winless there under Inzaghi, which is quite incredible considering Sampdoria had a 15th and 20th placed finish in the two seasons we played them while Genoa had a 19th and 12th placed finish in the two seasons we played them prior to today. We failed to win on any of those occasions.

the good old days when Inter draw at the first gameday. Even with Mourinho and a great team, even against shitty teams like Bari..

Don't have one.
Thought we played well for a first game. Don't think there is need for overreaction here, some of our key players are still in major preparation mode, and the goals from genoa were freakish in nature.

Once everyone gets in proper form, it will be a different story.

Bisseck unfortunately is just shaky on high balls and tricky dribblers. He’s been like this since we signed him and I haven’t really seen any signs of improvement there.

Does giving up a pen make him a shit player? Of course not, but he does have his weaknesses and we should acknowledge that. Pavard will continue to be the starter in tough matches.

This is the price of playing younger players unless they are the very very best.

Like we needed any more evidence beyond the undeniable truths uttered by a certain prophet on inter jections for 6 months

Finding a long-term replacement for Sommer was always going to be of the highest requirement, you don't sign a 34 year old 'keeper expecting him to be anything long-term. This had rightly been a board priority for some time. I have grave concerns that Josep Martínez is in any way capable of being that guy. For better or worse, hopefully Inzaghi will give him some chances this season, and I don't just mean Coppa minutes or some shit and hopefully not minutes because Sommer is bad enough to play himself out of the lineup. For us, €15M might as well be €100M, we might as well see what we have in this guy.

Fuck that. He head the ball onto his arm. That shouldn't stand.

I think that was straight onto his arm, I don't think he ever got his head on it. Yes, your arms are extended for balance, yes it's not intentional, but if you mis-time a jump and that happens, well, that's not really an excuse or justification. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, or at least not at such a consequential moment next time.
