Oaktree agreed to have U23 team, just like merda have.

Corriere report that starting 2025 Inter will have an Under-23 team.

That's an epic result for us if true. Shame it wont be for a year, but hopefully we can get all the infra etc into place.

We'll end up signing a few guys for it, will be interesting to see how the team shapes up

Liking Oaktree more and more if these rumours all come true

There's a lot of stuff what needs to happen. The training facilities, the staff, where they're gonna play etc etc. If it's ready by 25/26 season, I'm very happy.

Btw learned a thing about U23 teams in Serie C. It's not as simple as register the team there.

You need to actually get the spot for your team first. Milan got their spot for the coming season because Ascoli lost theirs due to financial issues.

Then another aspect is the group division. Rules are, for now, that only one U23 team can be in one group. Serie C is divided to 3 groups, geographically. North, middle, south. There are 3 U23 teams there now with Juve, Atalanta and Milan. Division was random this year and Atalanta got the best result by getting to the group A (north). Milan got to B and Juve got the shittiest draw with group C and some insane travelling.

They probably change the rules when more U23 teams enter the league. Because even if they don't care about kids traveling all those kilometers or Juve having to pay the traveling costs to Southern Italy, the teams in group C are financially fucked when they need to travel to Juve away game this season, those clubs there in South are particularly poor.

I am all in, everything else would be odd as I yelled about it for so long, it will give us the much needed stepping stone from Primavera to the first team and it can help having more in hand with the development and nurturing and not hoping that the lender will do the job, because it has shown rarely to be the case. But good to see our board has finally seen the sense of it all.

🚨🎙️ President Marotta on the creation of an #Inter B team:

“It won’t be right away. It is definitely a helpful tool to help the young players grow and mature. Right now there is a big, age related gap between the Primavera and the first team which makes things difficult.

Having a second team would mean setting up a group that the first team manager can pick from.” @marifcinter

Long-term agreement for the Inter youngster

MILANO - FC Internazionale Milano announces that it has reached an agreement for a long-term extension of Matteo Cocchi's contract.

He's a 17 years old left defender: https://www.transfermarkt.com/matteo-cocchi/profil/spieler/988987

Good. I think he was one of the young players who stood out under Chivu last season. He joined the Primavera (u19) at the age of 16. His playing style is somewhat similar of Dimas.

Btw, Dario the transfermarkt link you are using are redirects to our primavera legend from back then. (Del Piero) xD
