Free to think whatever you want about Sven, just remember he won a Scudetto and an European Supercup with Lazio, not many can say the same.

And? We're not Lazio.. Besides, his coaching standards seem to be dropping year by year..

Though I suppose we're the closest thing to his old Lazio team he could get :D

It's like saying we should get Alex Ferguson because he got United god knows how many titles and the CL.. That doesn't mean that either would be a good coach for Inter.

Jose M. or Hiddink are the ONLY coaches i would welcome for next season, if it's not one of those 2 then better keep Roberto Mancini.

What about..................

trapattoni........ the Italian Coaches are the best for Seria A. Those are the one who have the balls, mentality, and the brains to win the scudetto. Look at sucesses of Milan and Juve, they all had good Italian coaches, Mancini deserves another year,no matter the outcome of this one. And then we should look for another Italian Coach: Bergomi (how the **** did we forget about him), Donadoni (Look what he did with a modest team such as Livorno) Spalleti (Look what he's doing with Rome, with the exception of Totti, every player that they have is worthless) etc etc........... So many GOOD and young Italian coaches, that promise such a bright future, but they're dwelling in such modest teams that they can't do better that they're doing right now. It's like Shumacker driving a Minardi:D :D :D imagine that. The weakest thing that Inter has done since the last scudetto is that we've change so many coaches, we do not leave them enough time to get used to the team.........

PS: HOW about Dino Zoff............anybody.

Bergomi hasn't done no coaching since he retired. He is a commentator and studio analyst. If he can coach inter so can I.

There is one thing that concerns me about Mancini's Inter, and this is not based on any concrete evidence. I think maybe there is a bit too much player rule at Inter, a bit like you find at Real Madrid, due to Mancini not having a strong enough personality to control things in a team of champions. This puts players in a comfort zone sometimes ( I think Adri is in a comfort zone, and needs to be fired up mentally by a coach, I don't think Mancini can do this) This is my only real criticism of Mancini, every coach has favourites, it's just the way it is.
The positives of Mancini's reign are obviously the Coppa, and our league form has been excellent overall, only Gobbis steamtrain season has prevented us from Lo scudetto I believe. Most of all though, Mancini's Inter are a joy to watch, they play football the way it should be played. All in all I think he has earned another season to improve again, but my name isn't Moratti, and we can only guess what he thinks......

So, if Moratti loses patience, my Candidates would be (in no order) -

Capello - What can you say about him, probably the best coach in the world, but would he swap Turin for Milan? I can't see why he would, unless his ego got the better of him, making Inter Champions would prove his credentials more than anything else, and he could retire as a legend.

Mourinho - Won't leave Chelsea till he's won the CL, so if we're looking at next season, he's not really worth mentioning.

Spalletti - I'm extremely impressed with him, for what he's done with Roma with a transfer ban imposed, he must command huge respect, seems to be a great tactician, and a strong personality, I'd be very very happy if he came to Inter

Le Guen - Not sure what problems his nationality would cause, seeing as Inter are only an italian team in geographical terms, his record at Lyon is fantastic, and this after selling some very good players. I would be very happy with him too

Hitzfeld - His record speaks for itself, but not in club management in Italy, I have a feeling he wouldn't fancy it for some reason.

Lucescu was horrible, regardless of the circumstances. Tactically clueless and had no idea of how to coach a team.

Circumstances

1. West - a real team player...:proud:
2. Morati - expert in spending money on football :star: s...:wallbang:
3. Lucescu - RIGHT man at the WRONG moment:moan:
4. UCL - Man Utd was nothing but a football TEAM...:mute:

"tactically clueless" = 25 goals in 5 consecutive wins...:embarass:
"had no idea of how to coach" = had a few, but who cared?...
"a team" = 10x God it wasn't a DREAM team...;)

Which players did Lucescu discover while not coaching Nerazzurri?
1. Mutu, Pirlo
2. Pirlo, Mutu
3. both

From goal.com:

Inter Contact Deschamps

The Nerazzurri are ready to replace Roberto Mancini with the former Monaco coach.

Didier Deschamps may become the new Inter coach from this summer as the Italian club contacted the former Juventus player in Montecarlo three days.

This would be a surprise move for the currently unemployed coach turned television commentator, who 2 years ago was on the verge of joining Juventus before he was beaten by Fabio Capello at the last moment.

Deschamps has led Monaco to a Champions League and his style of playing is very similar to the one used by Lippi’s mid-90s Juventus team.

Any thought's?

I think Sven could do well at Inter, and if you lose against Roma in the Coppa Italia, i could see Mancini getting sacked.

Sven is a good coach, no doubt. But he has been so embarrased and disgraced throughout europe, and as a person he has no self respect, otherwise he would have quit his job long ago. I just cant see a coach like being able to command our dressing room. Hell if he tries to bench Adriano(if he is still there), Adriano is just gonna laugh, spit on his face, and go on to the field to play :rollani:

EDIT. Giallorosi, why dont you give us Spalletti?? We would give you Pizzaro and Mancini instead of him :D

oh........ for crying outloud. sven was for many years coach of sampdoria (which used to be a little better what fiorentina and roma is today) and he won nothing.
He went to lazio and as I can recall he didn't win the first year he came there, did he...?

If we continue this way we will win somethin important by the end of the century. Inter dosn't need a new coach, period. It is understandable that the fans are impations, but we have to be reasonable. Manchini the first year created a good team, the second he could win the champions, but as everyone knows the players played with no passion. He has created an incredible foundation of the team. Inter has never had such great defense, and a very solid middlefield. Unfortunately, this time we had bad forwarders, and this is the only part of the team that should be drastically changed, inluding here the characterless managment. If we change mancini, we will throw away everything, and start from the beginning. This exactly means that we haven't learned sh*t throughout the last 15 years.

MORATTI: "MANCINI'S STAYING"
Thursday, 27 April 2006 13:25:57 MILAN - (ANSA) - Roberto Mancini will stay, Adriano should stay. Words of Massimo Moratti. Speaking on the sidelines of the Saras roadshow the Inter patron replied with a firm "Mancini's staying" when asked if the club intends to change coach ahead of next season.

Moratti also answered a question on the future of Adriano, adding: "He will have to do well in these remaining matches, but he should be staying with us."

The Nerazzurri patron is not sure if we will see a more Italian Inter in the near future, as hinted in press reports. "I have also read them," he concluded, "but it's not so sure. Italian players are more expensive."

hmm great to hear about Mancini, but hearing that about Adriano is no good.:hat:

Indeed Helal. It's pretty clear what's going on within the squad and management. But for the good of Inter, I hope Adriano does stay with his will and do well - score tons of gols !!

oh lord, I was hoping we could get rid of him for good but I guess we will see a repetition of what happened to Cuper. in other words Mancini will be sacked after 6 weeks into the new season. and then the rest of the season will be horrendous that will lead to a 4'th place in the table if we are lucky. :boogy:

exactly, it will be probably repeating of Lipi or Cuper's last seasons.6 weeks work and then sack, and all season lost.

but, still I'm not that conviced about his staying.

lol nah Spalletti will stay, he wants too. I think Inter should keep Mancini, he hasnt done bad. As for pretty much all his success was with Lazio, although he did win one Coppa Italia with Roma, but we dint do too well in the league.

Inter better either stick with him through thick or thin, or sack him now. YOu dont want another Lippi of Cuper season.

We must be sack Mancini. this coach biggest problem is squad management. no choice.

Mancini only can control Cesar,Stankovic,Veron, Mihajlovic,Favalli,Cruz. few Argentina and ex Lazio players.
