Don't have one.
Don't feel compassion for inzaghi anymore, his defensive setup or lack thereof is the same as last year. I don't think even bremer would have improved us significantly.

So fuck it, let him use some primavera kid instead of his old pupil acerbi, it will not make any big difference whatsoever.

I couldn't care less about Acerbi. I never wanted him at Inter. But Zhang has managed to piss off pretty much everyone at the club right now.

How was this not already established? To my knowledge Zhang doesn't have any other meaningful responsibilities at the club. So how is Marotta just now finding out we don't have the budget for an extra defender?

This is gross incompetence from a business standpoint, not even footballing.

Yup, it’s an embarrassing way to run anything nevermind one of the largest clubs in world football.

I've spent the last few days absolutely ripping into Inzaghi but there's absolutely grounds for him to just quit here. He made ONE request, a backup CB, and he's not even allowed that.

Poor fucker, and poor us.

Acerbi is all cost and minimal return. I think if the transfer market decision-makers want the Zhangs to spend, they should come up with a buy low sell next season plan (or in 2 seasons), provided such players are on the market.

Acerbi has no resale value, will likely not start, and is uninspiring.

Also, your adding depth to what? This inter doesn’t look like a title contender and let’s be honest, will likely not progress in the knockout stages of CL.

But the problem isn't Acerbi and whether Zhang believes he's worth it or not. They report Zhang has blocked any signing without a sale.

Why not and trust this role to a primavera kid, as other clubs do? I see no problem here

Hey I'm all for that, and I hope Fontanarosa gets his chance.

My point is that our disgrace of an ownership are screwing Inzaghi again, even in this most minor request. I'm starting to believe he won't ever be a winner, but give the man a fighting chance at least.

First, ppl bitch and moan they don’t want Acerbi, then Zhang says no to Acerbi, then same ppl bitch and moan about Zhang saying no to Acerbi.
For all future psychologist and sociologist out there, come to FIF, it’s perfect case study for early signs of mental retardations and immaturity.

His best opportunity to win the title was last season and he blew it like nobody else. This season he has no chance, finishing in the top 4 will be an achievement. The safety cushion left by Conte is depleted, so nothing can help us win scudetto with Inzaghi at the helm. Zhang is probably not trusting him anymore.

Again, this isn't about Acerbi specifically. It's about not getting ANYONE, and Acerbi is still better than anyone, if not by much.

Yes i get what it’s for.
What do you mean ANYONE? So, just let’s spend money for the sake of spending on old fart that everyone hates?
Then, bitch how we don’t give chances to young players?
Here’s a chance to give some minutes to a young player, but naaaahhhh let’s bitch about something else now.
I’m not defending Zhang, he can fuck off right back where he came from, but this is right decision.

The issue isn't the decision. The issue is our management just wasted two weeks hunting for a reserve CB for absolutely no reason. Poor business 101. This should have been made clear by Zhang WEEKS ago.

This is a garbage transfer, you have Darmian, DD & DiMarco who could all play as makeshift CBs if needed and u bring in an overrated trash defender to take up space.

The icing would be to sell Skriniar and renew De Vrij. Thats still something that they are thinking of i am sure of it.

I could hardly be upset if we fail to sign Acerbi (it is the right decision), but we’re still down a CB

The Ownership situation is in DEFCON 2 at this point.

Every single person currently working for inter is a corporate yes man and bigger sins were committed by zhang and everybody went silent. So they can be pissed, but that will be just a blip, everything will return to normal as soon as the transfer window closes.

Now if we had conte here I would be worried about everything, but from these current people the worst thing you can expect is comments like "situation is not ideal, but we are inter bla bla bla".

Well, yes and no.
If you, or anyone have any knowledge of that being the case, then sure, waste of time/planning.
But there also could be a case where Zhang was OK with minimal investment for a young CB, Chalobah or Akanji( resale potential and whatnot), but was on the fence about Acerbi from the get go, and when those two first ones failed, he said you know what fuck this, we not gonna sign this old turd cuz it backfired so many times on me lately, so let’s give a chance to a young guy. That’s also a possibility.
Trying to sign a young CB for two weeks, and failing(it happens a lot to other teams too), is not a waste of time of any sorts.
It’s what happens in transfer market.
I mean look at the mighty and powerful PSG, they been trying to get Skriniar for months, and failed.
It happens.
