Guarro is saying that only if Agoume and Salcedo go away and their salaries are paid in full, we can get a player. hahahaha

anyway, what are those two even still doing on the team? A competent management would loaned those guys 2 months ago.

It really feels like our management do not have any clear indications what they can do and what they can't do. It feels like everything needs to be negotiated internally with the ownership/board/Zhang before doing any transaction. Feels like that given the Bremer case where we suddenly had 30m€ and more to offer in the auction with against Juve.

Now this Acerbi case is fucking absurd. We can't add a player whose annual cost would be less than 3m€ (gross wage).

Or is there still some way to do it, like Guarro suggests (read @IM21 post above)? Truly ridiculous stuff.

Did we really have 30m for Bremer? Or it was just thin air hoping we would have sold Skriniar by then?

Yeah well could have been that too. But the point is the sanctioning of the transaction/offer. There were reports of Zhang getting involved in the negotiations in the end of the Bremer auction.

It truly feels like a total micromanagement hell.

But the problem isn't Acerbi and whether Zhang believes he's worth it or not. They report Zhang has blocked any signing without a sale.
incredibile situation, im not wondering if this will create a start of an earthquake..starting from Marotta, probably the first one to leave.

The things is, Marotta has nowhere else to go. Milan have Maldini who is arguably a superior Sporting Director. His relationship with Juventus is dead. Roma certainly won't hire him as long as Mourinho is there. Marotta would be a disaster outside of Italy.

His options are deal with Suning, take a massive pay cut to work for a minnow, or retire. We all know which of those he's doing.

So, reports as of now are that Zhang has completely stopped the arrival of Acerbi, while theres also report saying Marotta will try to convince him otherwise. Its also being said that Inzaghi, Marotta and Ausilio are all pissed at Stevie.

I know it wont happen, but just for the shitshow it would be so funny if all of those 3 guys resigned. I mean the comedy we would get.

Its also time that the fans and curva start to demand the sale of the club. I have no idea whats even taking this long. If the owner cant invest anymore and all he wants is to sell players, he should fuck off.

Monza, but he'll wait and see how they fare first.

Marotta has said many times Inter will be his last job at a club level. Instead he's more focused on taking a role in a footballing governing body.

Marotta isn't and has never been a sporting director. And that's why he has always worked with one. First with Paratici, now with Ausilio. He sets the strategy, he makes the final call and handles the negotiations but he has never been the one to do the scouting and set a list of targets. His role is closer to the one occupied by Gazidis at Milan.

After the crap performance against Lazio, Stevie most probably has realized that we don't have any chance for the scudetto, therefore no sense of wasting money on Acerbi.

Gazidis has nothing to do with transfers at Milan other than setting the budget. He is the GM and more involved with the financial side of things at Milan (such as Sponsorships).

Its Maldini and Massara who set the targets and strategy and handle the negotiations. Geoffrey Moncada meanwhile is in charge of Scouting and the Data Analytics team.

Why would Maldini ask for greater responsibilities and a Marotta-like role at Milan then?

https://football-italia.net/why-milan-have-not-extended-maldinis-contract-yet/

Also Gazidis seems pretty involved in transfers to me.

https://sempremilan.com/maldini-gazidis-30m-botman-pursuit-lille
Maldini wanted more freedom to make the final decision on who to bring in and not constantly cockblocked by Gazidis. There's a high chance he has gotten close to that.

Gazidis is in charge of setting the transfer budget. So sure, in a way you maybe accurate in saying that he does have influence in deciding transfers, but Maldini decides in the end.

Regarding Botman, if he was still at $30m he would have been at Milan. The problem is Newcastle decided to up the bid to almost $40m and Maldini didnt think he was worth that much (plus Botman lost patience). In the end, we had limited funds and Maldini decided to pursue another target who he had been pursuing for a while (CDK) and use the Botman money on him.

rather not bring anyone than Acerbi. Use a youth player. Juve used a 19 year old from the youth team against Roma. That would never happen with us we would be like anyone have 3-5 million before any youth player gets a shot

Acerbi is another Caicedo - absolutely useless transfer.
