Anyone found a file so I can keep my 5 subs in Italy? I've found one for England but I also want 1 for Italy. I hate the fact that in the first season you get 5 subs and after that you go down to 3 again. Really like the 5 sub thing as I can give more players minutes to play and I can develop my youngsters better if I can give them more minutes. With 3 subs only you restricted in that way and you can't really bring in youngsters often.

Use the editor and advanced rules to edit it.

When I am at my pc I will give you step by step instructions.

Can't change the non eu you can register per season that seems hardcoded.

Thanks! I feel like a old cunt when I use the editor because I suck at it. So I normally download some kind of mod from steam or some site. But the amount of time I spent to fix it is immense.

Steps are as follows:

1.Open editor
2.Rules -> Add Nation rules
3.Select Italy and the option add lower divisions and cups to existing structure
4.Rules and convert to advanced rules
5.Show Rules for Serie A
6.Under stages -> league settings ->half way down the page you will find the sub settings
7.For the italian cup the sub rules are under Stage 0 and cup defaults
8.When done save editor date as name(whatever you want)
9.Click on rules -> test rules -> select all
10.Once done save again
11.once done export it to where you your fm data basis files are located.
12.Start a new game and the file should be available for you to use as a database file
13.I have uploaded the files at the below link. Valid for 7 days. Only changed subs for serie a and italian cup. Would upload as a attachment but forum doesn't accept .xml or .fmf files hence why the outside link and only valid for 7 days.

I just installed the files, thank you!

Looking forward to put it into use because this irritated me with every game. Second season players start moaning quicker and I usually just loaned my talents out because of the limited playing time they would get with 3 subs.

Each year there is an editor released alongside the game.

If you have the steam version go to your steam library and make sure the tools filter is ticked you can then download it.

There are 2 editors. The one above is the pregame one that is free. You can buy an in-game from inside. Not as powerful as the pregame one but can be used to affect transfers, club details and player stats. The in-game one cost $8.

Disclaimer: The FM22 editor versions are extremely bad.

Pre-game editor still erases the year of data when you try to add anything... Remarkable how it's not resolved yet.
I'm not paying for the in-game one, got the FMRTE instead as that one works and doesn't have myriad of complaints.

I have found refuge in FM2009 :D

Made some future transfer arrangements, and tried to ensure that until 2010 everything important happened the same way. So Barcelona won the treble in 2009 with Eto'o as the catalyst, then Inter won everything in 2010 with Milito, Eto'o and Sneijder there. Then I just let the game do it's own thing. Problem is that the FMRTE didn't allow me to change Mourinho's tactics so they're stuck on a 4-3-3 and I had to make Eto'o a left winger and Sneijder as a right winger in order to be able to utilize the triplete squad in the lineup. And yes, I even managed to get an Inter vs Barcelona semi with Bayern reaching the final as well :p

And Inter won the CL in 2011 as well, vs Barcelona!

Game is far smoother, no annoying "features" that delay the game advancing. I am already in the 4th season with around 1 day of playing time. With newer versions I'd barely be at the end of my 1st season after that long.

@Stefan

Thanks mate. Started a new game after downloaded your files and it seems to work. Going into the new season I still have the 5 subs, perfect!

Started a game with Inter of course and became champion. Sanchez worked out very well as number 10 behind Lautaro/Dzeko and Immobile became top scorer with over 40! goals. Will upload a screenshot when I'm home but his goal rate is f*ckin ridiculous.

Started a new game with Lyon. Trying to hold PSG off from winning every single price and hoping to win a European Cup (not perse CL). Want to try and win with mostly French players/youth players. Nice challenge because I like the club and how they always seems to find young talented players to develop.

First season I'm hoping to reach CL football and maybe win the Europa League. In the summer I will try and get Benzema(Lacazette), Umtiti etc back to the club. Goal is to have at least 60% of my selection to be home-grown.

Anyone bough the game? It's to quiet in here.
I have it on steam. Not played yet as I always wait for the official release when the editor comes out.

I played it for a good 20 hours and it's the same as FIFA. Every year they make minor changes but nothing significant. There are a few nice changes like the influence of the fans etc but if they only would listen to the fans/players this game could be so sick.

Still buying it every year though.

I was playing 2020 for a while because it was free at epic games when 21 released and now I got FM22 because it was free at amazon prime to claim through epic games. Been playing since 2014...
Anyway, Haaland is literally a bug.
I usually play 4123 with inside forwards and poacher, but I switched to a 2 striker formation for his second season and this is his output as a poacher (the season is not even over yet):
Screen Shot 2022-11-09 at 6.20.25 PM.png

I managed to get him for free via declaring him as a top target and asking multiple players to make him switch and just waited until the end of the contract - surprisingly he joined Inter instead of PSG, Mansheikhy liverpool and basiclly every other big team minus madrid who didn't approach him. Helps that I had won a champions league the second season and had mbappe in the team as a free transfer I guess.
41 goals in 26 games as a single poacher in the league with a DM and inside forwards in the first season and this seasons he's scored 61 goals and it's still not over (a hattrick every other two three matches I believe but scores almost every game - 87 goals total incl. champions and cup).

The guy I'm pairing him with is Karim Adeyemi who's a natural right winger irl but I play him as AF and he's developed pretty good too:

I don't use the editor or other ppl tactics

Another bug is Ciro fucking Immobile - before Erling he'd be top scorer in the league every year and actually won a ballo d'or

The best thing is if M'Bappe and Haaland wanted to join Inter on a free in real life, we'd turn them down because they're too expensive.

Yeah... lol
When I got him on free, his demands were that he treats the club as a stepping stone and forced smth like a 90 million release clause, which is nothing with finances in 22. I was quick to offer him a new contract immediately after the season finished and there was no release clause anymore. Right now they're both on 550k per week. Messi can be signed too. Cost me 35 million to get him from psg, third season I beleive, but they were accepting bids 2nd season too - his wage then is 1.6 million per week so I had to wait another year for him to get older and managed to get him on 160k per week. Before Haaland, also signed Lewa on a free but payed 28million to get him right away instead of when the contract ended.
The only unsignable player I see are the goalkeepers, 300 million price tags and they'll reject them too. Donnaruma is the best so had to pay over 200 million after a year of having him as top target and many players speaking up gor him to join, director of football scouting etc. Salah, Neymar is not for sale categorically. Icardi ends up at Napoli eventually and is pretty good. Trying to sign him for fun just has the agent talk saying he's not interested in joining Inter under any circumstance  (don't remember if the agent is Wanda)

2020 is a bit better and harder imo - started unemployed because needed a challenge. Spent 9 seasons at some 3rd division french team to eventually transfor the club and win everything on the last season before leaving and continuing the goal of winning everything with other clubs in the top 5 leagues. Became napoli legend after 5 seasons, cuz Inter wouldn't hire me after just one job with obscure team in Uber eats country, moved to Man City (easiest 2 season because money is unlimited there), Valencia after but no champions and Frankfurt at the end. By this time Inter kept approaching but I retired because I was over 75 (too many hours spent in the game)
