So started with Ajax as always and won the double in my first season. In the Europa League I lost against Liverpool in the semi final. And f*ckin Norway made it to the EC final and lost from England. With Sweden reaching the semi-final.


I'm loving the game so far but I hate the new set pieces bullshit but that's maybe because I'm autistic.

Thinking about starting a new game with Benfica or Panathinaikos and try to win something in Europa with at least 50% of the players being from the youth Academy. With Benfica it shouldn't be to hard but with a Greek team I suppose it's a challenge.

So anyone already tried FM24? I will play it tonight for the first time and can't wait. Feels like christmas evening opening presents.

Probably going to get it in about a week. Looking forward to it, but they already have everyone hyped up for FM25 before this one is even out.

I hear that people are loving the match engine for the first time since, well, ever


But i still won't be really into this. I hate this UI they have since 21 and the game is too expensive these days.

I've played the new game for 40 odd mins and not returned. I don't use sound and use text and stats during games and I honestly can't see a single difference, I'm always pro fm and obviously still love the game but this year is the first year I've felt disappointed with the final (beta) product.

Actually, I think people who were already disappointed are liking the game and those who didn't mind the last versions appear to be disliking this one because it's mostly a polished version. But since the FM21 debacle, all we've seen is attempts at polishing the same version, mostly failed ones.

I do wonder how FM25 will look like in terms of UI. Won't pay more than 30 euros for FM24, so will catch up and complete my almost 30 year old collection when the prices drop, probably after New Year's.

I'm loving my Benfica save. Great squad and great Youth academy. Whenever my players get injured I will just search in my youth teams. I've got Pedro from Flamengo as a striker and holy shit he's banging in goals for fun. After the first season I've managed to get Renato Sanchez back and a midfield trio with Florentino Luis, Renato Sanchez en Joao Neves is unstoppable.

And to top all that I've got the ''new Eusebio'' coming through the ranks, scoring 2 goals in 5 games for the first squad at the age of 16. He is the youngest ever goalscorer for Benfica and I will try to let him break the goalscoring record of Eusebio which is over 300 goals.

The match engine is really smooth this time around. I'm looking forward to the larger changes in FM25 but I've been having fun for the few hours I've played '24.

Started a game with Inter this weekend and strangely it said that we are trying to build a new stadium but 1 season in I haven't heard anything about it. I can expand Guiseppe Meazza to 85.000 seats?

Just put another tier on the roof I guess.

I finally got it set up correctly on the steam deck, facepacks etc.

Still only played 2 pre season games though, just can't get into like I normally do, usually in 200 hours deep by now. To familiar with fm23 for me, tbh I find it identical apart from the set piece set up.

Going to test out some wonderkids and some players I feel have potential in real life and see how they get on hopefully spark my passion for the game.

Leicester (fairly easy option compared to the other teams)

I hope my English brothers can help me pick 1 team and start a save with.

York is the only habitable town of the lot.

Bath is also decent but come on, it's called Bath.

I used to have FM saves with York when they were in the lowest tiers. Fun times.

Nah, they won't build it in the early game (5 seasons or such). Asking the board for it is pointless.
I believe it was finally built in the late 2040s, after around five seasons of planning. Anyway, I use the Instant Result skin, which is why I've made it this far and have been playing since beta. After that stadium was named after my name , I quit the game. Perhaps it was the only time I was able to acquire it after playing this game for so long.
