but tbh - we dont know what that resell might be. It could be another JM golden handshake. There's a significant spectrum of possibilities out there. For 20% for 5m, that's a 25mil price to 'break-even', and also inflation is significant atm over the next few years. What are the chances, in your view, he's worth 25mil in 3 years time? He'll either be worth like 10, or 60 IMHOI'd rather pay the extra 5m and not lose 20% on a future sale.
5m is nothing now compared to 20% resale when/if we need it.
I understand from your posts after this one what you mean though.
I don't think in this climate especially in years to come we will struggle to offload him for 25 at all.but tbh - we dont know what that resell might be. It could be another JM golden handshake. 50-60, imo.but tbh - we dont know what that resell might be. It could be another JM golden handshake. There's a significant spectrum of possibilities out there. Remember gabigol?I don't think in this climate especially in years to come we will struggle to offload him for 25 at all.
We didn't really fail to offload him.Remember gabigol?
It is so transparent that a faction at inter HQ want him because they think they can buy him for below market value and flip him in a year.
This guy is becoming the player version of 'flip or flop'. It is so transparent that a faction at inter HQ want him because they think they can buy him for below market value and flip him in a year. They are willing to take the risk on him not because of any tactical acumen or complementary skill set or exciting potential - it seems its all about flipping for a profit. That seems to be why Inzaghi is hesitant anyway.
I'm not down on the guy but we need to call it what it is: a MASSIVE risk for a club that has 0 money, at a position of massive need and with a manager who wants experienced players.
Obviously Monaco )
This was because we loaned him to Brazil eventually where he flourished. We didn't really fail to offload him.
we did, to be fair. We loaned him out for like 3? seasons to reduce his overall book cost to what a club would be willing to pay for him, and then sold him out at a flat cost. Gabigol was by any measure an unmitigated disaster for Inter. We didn't really fail to offload him.
If keeping him on our books for 3.5 season is not a failure to offload him then i dont know what is... yes we eventually sold him but it took waaay to longWe didn't really fail to offload him.
Actually it depends on the offer. Roma received like 50-60mln bid after first Tammy's season there, where he had decent stats. The same could happen with Balogun as well. If he has a good or very good season at Inter, I won't be surprised if some EPL team splash over 50mln on him. With 20% for Arsenal, we'll get only 40mln, but that will be enough to get some small profit and to reinvest in some other target, if there's a such available.tbh, I dont think anyone is buying BAlogun for a 1 year flip - if he's worth more in a year's time, then short of being like 80-100mil, he's going to keep developing and we should keep him for longer. If we are flipping him in a year, then its likely either that he's turned into a shit player and we want to get rid (but, realistically, that means lazaro/gabigol loans), or, he's fucking smashed a season like Hakimi. I dont think either of those will happen.
