Even with the way we were dominated the goal only comes because of a blatant foul in the buildup.

Also we began to get back into the match towards the end of the half. They can’t keep the pace up for another 45 but they will start the half on fire again. I’d say we need to get Hakan off soon as possible, also we need to get Dumfries on. We have no threat in behind at all right now.

This game needs Alexis Sanchez and we need to hope that the Viola guys cannot keep running for 45 more minutes at this pace.

Playing Hakan as then 3rd midfielder is like playing with 2 midfielders. I never thought I would say this of anyone, but I actually prefer Vecino or even Gagsy over him. They are donkeys, but at least they graft.

We need Sanchez. And Dumfries. And Vecinio. ASAP. Maybe then we can make a game of it.

One thing I noticed in all of our games including this half as well, there is no adapting to the opponent like we did with conte where we would play some periods on counterattacks, some with possession...there is only one way of playing and either we survive the starting onslaught or we are deeply in trouble.

I'm not even gonna talk about our defensive solidity in that kind of set up cuz that story is already told here...

We were pathetic in the first 35minutes. Darmian, Dzeko, Calhan have not existed so far (except for Calhan's freekick). Not that others are on fire either. The defence trio, Handa, Brozovic and Barella have been okay.

We must completely change our game to get a good result here.
