GdS: Inter are hoping to sign Bologna striker Santiago Castro before they play in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

They write that there's little doubt Inter will attempt to sign him. Cost around €25-30M.
I like this rumor. Paz seems like a wet dream and this is probably the 2nd best available attacking threat in serie A.

Yeah dunno how many strikers we will take to Club World Cup. Currently we have 5. 🤣 Adding Pio and Castro to that? I doubt it.

There's no way we're bringing Arna and Correa with their contracts expiring during the tournament and there being no chance of renewal

Is there enough time to sign a forward? :palm:

Inzaghi has nothing to use from the bench. There was an option tactically in this game to bring on another forward, but who do you bring on?

I don't know if we have any time left on this mercato but if we have, we should get rid of Arna in any way we can and get another forward. The state of our back up forwards is nothing short of a nightmare this season.

All the forwards that were available on loan have already been taken so good luck with that.

If you had an ambitious owner you would be in the market for a forward right now. But we haven't had a proper mercato since covid and thanks to Suning we ended up with an asset management firm so zero expectations.

At least Marotta needs to cut the crap about Inter fighting in all competitions. We don't have the squad depth to fight in all fonts.

Today really showed you what Inzaghi thinks of Arnautovic and Taremi. When we needed a goal his solution was to bring on two different centers backs to change our attacking approach.

I also mentioned it on Inzaghi thread. And i can't blame him really.

Don't have one.

Lol I was just about to mention it. You can clearly see which players he doesn't trust when shit hits the fan. He would rather watch lautaro and thuram die from exhaustion than replace them in a big game. Same for asllani as well...

It boggles my mind how we didn't try to address it, and we just let it flow, even this month. But yeah, same old ownership story I guess...

Come on Bepe, we don’t have any strikers to bring when we are desperate for a goal. That must be alarming isn’t it??

Lets not be retarded now. Inter has had the best team in Italy for the last 5 years.
I wanna see Inzaghi full potential in this team.

right now just want a proper backup striker.

no one expected Taremi to be the new Arnautovic and Arnautovic to be the new Correa.

I don't understand how are Milan and gobbi able to make such major moves in January transfer market, while our management just sits there doing absolutely nothing to strengthen our squad and address the problems, while making pathetic excuses.

Maybe, but you look at what we looked like we were building around this time in 2020 or 2021, we were able to spend 40m to bring in highly-regarded guys like Hakimi who was still only 20 at the time...if Suning's finances hadn't gone to shit, we were primed to build a dynastic side that would've dominated Serie A the way Juventus was before. When Suning's house of cards well, we were thoroughly nerfed. If anything, it's been almost every summer since 2021 where we keep saying "this is probably the last year we can expect to seriously compete" and here we are all the way into 2025 and we're still competing.

Like, everyone was and remains pissed at how the 2021-'22 season ended. I'll just remind everyone that we sold Hakimi and Lukaku (also lost Eriksen through tremendously awful luck) during that summer. Is it really a surprise we took a step back that year, points-wise? The disappointment lies in that we still could've and should've won the Scudetto after that, but we sold major players and replaced them with Band-Aids and we've pretty much been doing that ever since.

From the Oak Trees perspective that is totally fine. Morover, It’s the superbowl week in the US- who cares about some random Italian soccer team’s transfer market?

Whats there to understand. Their owners spend money to strenghten squad, our owners are vulture fund.
