Also absolute wild that no team stepped up to take him... I guess ADL banked on getting that Saudi money in the worst case so he was not budging to anzthing less from european top teams.

Fascinating how ADL manages to simultaneously be one of the best owners in serie a history and one of the worst at the same time..
Before the haters come at me show me another owner that has taken a team from serie B to a scudetto and pretty consistent top 4 finishes

Roma release Smalling and Joao Costa​

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia reveal that 19-year-old right-sided winger Joao Costa has completed his transfer to Al-Ettifaq, bringing a tidy €9m into the club coffers.

He was brought to the Giallorossi youth academy in 2021 from Corinthians and worked his way up to the senior squad.

It all comes on the same day that Mario Hermoso signed a three-year contract to become a new Roma defender.

They pulled it off.
