Gotta say, if I've learned one thing this mercato, is there there is literally only one Di Marzio and only one Fabrizio Romano.

Pedulla and Schira and all the rest got so much wrong this transfer season. I know things change constantly during the transfer market but the two Sky Italia men are as close to 'trustworthy' as it gets.

Romano can be fame boy/tap in whatever they call now but at least he’s Inter fan, Inter related news indeed nearly reliable.

Why is it that some people are under the impression Romano is/was an Inter fan? I had that belief as well but I have no idea where from come to think of it.

I seem to recall someone saying he used to work for fcinter1908 but I couldn’t find anything on that.

I think he is referring to which English club he is fond of instead of his actual favorite club.

I read that he was a Napoli supporter as a child, which makes sense. Perhaps he just keeps a safe distance for the sake of his profession's credibility.

Rube signing Zakaria for free and then loaning him to Chelsea 6 months later with 35M€ option has to be the best business lately. I think he will be sold to EPL club anyway, if its not Chelsea then it will be some other team. He fill fit that league like glove. Tireless up and down running without any ball playing skills.

They have made the best mercato by far. Then Meelan.

Luckily there is still Allegri. Rube won't win a scudetto not because of players, but because of him.

According to transfermarket, they paid 7.75M GBP to Gladbach and he is yet to impress Chelsea for them to exercise the option.

Still huge 25M€ profit. It doesn't have to be Chelsea. He will show that he can run and tackle without any goals or assists and there will be a line of other mid table EPL sides willing to buy him.

Arthur on option for 35M€ too, Liverpool can pay it in 2 installments.

Cherubini and Arrivabene have done very good business since January.

What profit? Chelsea hasn't bought Zakaria, it's just an option.

Arthur is just on a dry loan, they split the salary payment.

I couldn't disagree more. Regarding Inter news, this was one of the worst summers for Sky.

They only covered two deals well. Lukaku and Casadei. If i had to make a guess they were getting the info from their sources in England. Their Inter sources were pretty shit.

-Late for Asllani. Late for Mhki. Reporting there's nothing with Dybala and Inter are looking for a different type of forward and they can't sign anyone before offloading Sanchez. Two days later Marotta was meeting Dybala agent at Inter HQ. The fact Inter decided to go for Lukaku over Dybala doesn't make it less of a flop for Di Marzio. Got Gosens totally wrong looking like clowns. Pedulla and Longari had better info in all these sagas.

-They were talking about a top player sale all summer but in the end nothing happened. On the other hand, Pedulla was always saying if and when it's time for a sale he will talk about it.

-Even regarding Acerbi, Pedulla had the better info. Di Marzio was saying Zhang blocked the deal and it's unlikely he will change his mind. On the other hand, Pedulla was saying deal is blocked for now but tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow was indeed another day.

If this summer taught us anything it's Pedulla has some good Inter sources. Sky get the benefit of the doubt because they have been great in the past but this summer wasn't a good one for them regarding Inter news.

Sky (Romano-Di Marzio) are the tap-in artists and still they get stuff wrong. Goes to show calciomercato is simply full of surprises and anything can happen. It's not a big deal and what needs to change the most is the approach of the consumers of the transfer rumor world, ie. our approach.

We need to understand when these reporters report stuff, the words shouldn't be taken as some gospel, you need to read between the lines and remember these guys just want to be the first ones to report the news. Also it's not so serious if someone gets something "wrong". Like said, things change a lot in the calciomercato and one day something said is impossible, the next day it's totally possible. So reporter reporting something as impossible might be true, but the next day the impossible happens and he was still right, as everything is time-dependent.

IIRC, he used to be Sky Italia's dedicated 'Inter journalist', working for Di Marzio, kind of like Agresti for Juve or Samuel Luckhurst for Manchester United. He then moved on from that role as he grew within the company and, of course, his fame. I think we have one of the Barzaghi brothers now.

Fair enough, I think it's definitely an agree to disagree. It's likely I'm speaking more with an emotional mind, as I was really banking on Pedulla with the Dybala transfer - following that whole thing, I think he lost a lot of credibility in my eyes.

I saw a picture of him watching us with Inter scarf, couldn’t find it now, maybe because he wrote for fcinternews
He chose Watford in UK for playing FM reason

well it's all about how will they click and will they stay fit, but I think Roma and Juve made a superb job for upcoming season,
Milan did some nice jobs, Napoli did great job with Simeone and Raspadori,
we are...meh, Lukaku is jet to be seen in Limones system, Asllani and Bellanova are good options, to bad we didn't get rid of Džeko and bring extra weapon in attack, someone like Piatek (who went on Salernitanaon loan) would be good fifth option, much better than Ceicedo last year,
so I don't know, season is long and with world cup in the middle I think lack of good bench will bite us in the end
