Surprised at his rotten performance today, hope it's just an anomaly.

It can’t be overstated how much Bastoni, Mkhitaryan and Dimarco enable one another.

Our left side often takes a hit when one of those players isn’t starting: we had two on the bench tonight.

Been off the boil quite awhile now. Time to get back to the Dimarco we all appreciate.

Hopefully the arrival of Zalewski allows him to get some rest because he hasn't been playing at his usual standards lately.
He and Barella are so gassed. Inzaghi and Spalletti squeeze every drop of juice from them that they can.

Fortunately there is a slight respite in the amount of fixtures for us with the round of 32 to be played in February. Thank fuck we got top 8.

The hard part comes now until middle of march. My dudes, if we keep pace with Napoli til then (or surpass them), we are probably winning the scudetto. Our last stretch of games is easier than this stretch.

And I'll be more impressed by this Scudetto since we actually have competition this time who have to play less games.

This time last year we had competition who had to play fewer games too.

Still different, mostly because we know how Conte knows to grind results AND because Atletico beat us in CL and it was "easier" for us to go for the Scudetto. Winning it by a huge margin, that's not happening this season, I think.

We only crashed out of CL in March. And Allegri was just as good as Conte at grinding results.

Napoli’s last run of games is even easier though unfortunately. They just came out of a rough patch of fixtures nearly flawless. It’s going to be a slog to the death if we win it.

And their record against bottom-half opponents is almost perfect too. They lost to Verona in the first game of the season, they've beaten every team between 10-20th since then.

It's a big ghastly to say it like this, but we could really use a key midfield or forward injury or two for Napoli.

True that, but I wouldn't be shocked if these bottom teams will eventually snatch points off these top teams. I mean, they will have a different approach compared to first phase of season. Conte is well aware of that, that's why his teams usually put extra effort and often overperform themselves.

Napoli isn't as competitive as Inter, but difference is that they take matches more seriously and of course it helps playing just once a week. Inter has shown inconsistency in focus. We have seen how we could be naive despite having things under control.

I would say that winning against gobbi would put us in a real good position for the rest of season. I do think Napoli will slip in matches against Lazio and Como (both away from home).

Our boy was ass yesterday. Unfortunately I think we have to admit he’s in a slump. I’ve been wanting to see my personal GOAT Carlito in place of him lately. Augusto is in a much better moment.

He's been like that every season. He just underperform in a period. Consistency is not among his best characteristics.

Beside that, him not being fast and physically strong enough affect his performance as well. Just watch him against Juve, he hardly ever ran with the ball. Any time he received it, he just threw it away somehow. His crosses somestimes turn up good, but he need to stop crossing the ball away right after he gets the ball.
