I know it’s just a glorified friendly but that’s a big goal for him. Away in France with national team. That will give him a ton of confidence. Good for Inter in Champions League if players get used to having big moments.

Pseudo competition so uefa/fifa can make more money while claiming it s not a friendly....
It's pretty much a friendly for the A league sides unless they reach the semi, then they might just care about it a bit.

C and D sides like this as it gives them a great chance to qualify for major tournaments.

B sides, it depends on who they are. I mean the English probably view it as a chore but for Greece and Finland it's a good chance to see where they stand against better teams and maybe even get a shot to play 6 "friendlies" with top sides if they make it to the A league.

Don't what you guys are talking about. In my eyes this competition is more meaningful than the World Cup. It's the pinnacle of NT football.

What is it? Prestigious cup?
There's nothing in between?

It's a competitive tournament, not consisting of conditioning matches (what friendlies are).

This is not true at all.

Top 2 in each A league groups, gets automatically top seeded in the WC qualifying phase (where only top spot is guaranteed to qualify for the WC), so you can bet all teams in the A leagues takes is quite serious to have a better chance avoiding a tough WC qualifying group.

Meh to me they are friendlies through out, like really who cares? Also top teams will qualify for the WC anyways unless they fuck up big time...
The main purpose to call these competitive games or to call this a tournament is cause UEFA wanted to make more money. Yes the games are slightly more copetitive then an exebition gae but you cant tell me the players care unless two top teams meet.

Standanovic looked pretty poor in that goal tbh. But i guess his view was blocked and he was poorly positioned.
