Please discuss all rumours & transfers of the European football here and not in the Transfers & Rumours Topic (Which is meant for Inter-related rumours only). If this topic is dominated by Serie A related rumours, I may eventually create a separate topics for Serie A. :)

Joke my dearest, it's been a while since we spoke!

I haven't heard anything about Kompany in ages, last time you said that he was likely to stay in Belgium one more year.

Anything new on that front?

He's doing exams now. :D

He's gonna stay, Wiehoew. If Inter cant get him, nobody may get him. :p
He had an agreement to stay another year, so he can keep working at his development. Barca really wanted him, but Anderlecht asked them to wait another year. Actually, Not a bad thing.

Another year enjoying Kompany's play here on our fields. :star:
And I'm lucky, the first game at home for Cercle is against Anderlecht, so I will meet him soon again. :)

Can somebody explain why Trap left Benfica because his wife and kids want to go back to Italy and then he signs in Germany?

Some quite unimportant news:

- Candela joined Udinese.

- Antonio Conte will be assistant coach at Siena.

Yeah, really weird. But they already lived in Germany, so she may prefer that. With all due respect to him, make your decisions on your own.

And now Udi may sell Koldrup to Everton. They will embarass Serie A next year in the CL, I hope it's them that Liverpool meets and knocks out.

Conte? It seems this guy doesn't get enough of black-and-white. I bet his pet at home is a Zebra.

Damn, this Hamoodi thing is getting out of control :D

He was a decent lad though, and Juve got rid of him like he was nothing, as Frisko said. As long as he makes our Pasquale a proper LB, I am happy with Conte.

Juventus don't want Cassano, looks like he'll remain at Roma. Nobody wants him after all. :D

Guti wants to join Arsenal - this would be a great move for all parties involved. Guti gets playing time at a very well-playing club, Arsenal gets a great attacking midfielder and Real Madrid gets about 10 million for a player who is frankly surplus and merely wasted talent - just like Solari and Portillo, also recently Figo.

Gilardino is said to be joining Milan within a week's time. Not good news, but in my opinion Crespo is better so it's not that big of a problem. Let's just hope he doesn't link up well with Shevchenko and they have locker-room fights. ;)

Mahamadou Diarra is being linked with a move away from Lyon.
"Internazionale, Arsenal and Liverpool are all admirers of the anchor man and are monitoring his situation at Stade Gerland closely."

Juninho is rumoured to being sold by Lyon. Question about Juninho... his last name is Pernambucano. This is Italian, no? So does he have Italian passport?

i dont agree with that.

i think its always a family choice. THats why u rarely see Italian coaches in England and vice versa.

Juninho is freaking amazing, I wanted him last year before we got Veorn. He is a great player, but is around 30 now, so no use. And I don't think he is Italian, I read a while ago that his last name indicates what town he comes from. For example, the other Juninho's last name is Paulista, which indicates he is from Sao Paulo etc.

Del Horno seals £8m move to Chelsea

Chelsea have completed the signing of Spain left-back Asier del Horno for £8million from Athletic Bilbao.

The 24-year-old has agreed a three-year deal and will officially become a Chelsea player on July 1.

Manager Jose Mourinho had been chasing the defender for several weeks and his arrival is the beginning of the Portuguese's squad strengthening as he plans the defence of the club's first league title in 50 years.

Left-back was an area of weakness for Chelsea last season with Wayne Bridge's broken ankle forcing William Gallas to play out of position.

'Asier is an outstanding international player who will add quality to the squad in a position we needed to strengthen,' said Mourinho on the club's official website.

'I'm sure he will be a key player as Chelsea continue with the goal to achieve greater success both in England and in the Champions League.'

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon added: 'Jose identified his target to fill the left-back position and we're delighted Asier has chosen to come to Chelsea.

'The arrival of Asier signifies Chelsea's desire to strengthen the squad in key positions following a hugely successful season and we all look forward to seeing Asier in the blue of Chelsea in July.'

Only 8M? I am really surprised at the low price, he is a good player. So now Kaladze won't join Chelsea? I read his criticism of Milan earlier, and I thought he was sure of a Chelsea move!

Back to Trapattoni, he must be a brave person to come back to Germany. His experience there was successful, but ended in a sour note in that infamous press conference.

He was a walking google dictionary there. He was litteraly translating italian words into German. His "Ich habe fertig" speech is legendary in Germany. He wanted to say I am finished, but said I have finish, because in Italian you say it that way "ho finito!" And refered to a player (Thomas Struntz) as an empty bottle when he meant he was in a bad condition.

Here is a link to the conference. You hear him getting animated, smaking the table and almost crying at the end. All the while without realizing the comical meaning of his words!!! Trapattoni in action :star: :star: :star:

 that is so funny, about Trapattoni.

Juve prepare to hail Cesar Wednesday 22 June, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have renewed their transfer interest in Lazio’s Aparecido Cesar, according to reports.

The Brazilian was initially targeted last summer but he remained at the Stadio Olimpico after Lazio rejected offers from both Juve and Inter.

But the Turin giants are assessing the option of making a new bid, as they look for alternatives to both left-back Gianluca Zambrotta and left-sided midfielder Pavel Nedved.

It was initially thought that Giorgio Chiellini would be recalled from Fiorentina this summer as cover for the pair.

But the Italian international may now end up at Roma as he could possibly be included Juve’s attempt to sign Antonio Cassano from the Giallorossi.

Juventus have again turned their attention to Cesar after having doubts about Alessandro Parisi.

The Messina full-back was part of the Turin outfit’s end of season tour of Japan but he seemingly hasn’t done enough to convince the Bianconeri technical staff.

Lazio are likely to sell the South American as his contract expires in 2006 and they can’t afford to lose him for nothing next summer.

The 30-year-old is believed to be available for around £3m but Juve could offer a player as part of the deal.

Lazio are interested in a number of Juve youngsters even if Nicola Legrottaglie may be offered.

The central defender is unlikely to remain in Turin after spending the last six months on loan at Bologna.

The capital outfit have also been linked with midfielder Manuele Blasi and the versatile Igor Tudor.

Well look here... Juve want Cesar. We wanted him before last season and made strong efforts to get him. Now I bet Juve make a small bid and get him immediately.

Cesar was a liability last season with Lazio. He was getting sent off stupidly at games and cost Lazio some points. He is 30 now as well, so there is no need for him, and I bet Juve won't sign him.

I don't think they will either, but I'm sure if they wanted to then Lazio would gladly oblige. Lazio administration seem to be Juve's little bitches.
