Yeah there wwas tiers when it comes to guaranteed money paid. 3 tiers (+bonus for Real/Barca who were of course in tier 1), obviously Inter and Milan were in tier 3.

But if SL is really happening, I can't see UEFA's money pool being as big as it's now. Their sponsors will terminate or re-negotiate the contracts if biggest clubs leave CL.

No one cares, let them make it. We are heading towards banter era anyways, we were going to be just a number there like we are in the CL now. Other Italian clubs as well.

According to Sky, it's Oaktree that blocked it.
Imagine that. The only guys around the club whose sole interest is to get their money back as soon as possible are blocking our entry to this financial Shangri La tournament.

@Pimpin please help me with my Error 404 moment.

Great news. This superleague thing is complete madness. Clubs full of debts want new superior competition to solve their finances not caring about anything else. No thanks.

Yes. That would be the case. And Italian clubs will be mid table at best there result wise,no way they will have the same treatment, money, prestige etc. like Real and Barcelona for example. It's mind boggling people can't see that. This is not a good league for Inter and this is not a good league for football in general. Standing together with Agnelli and Perez is complete madness and I'm glad we are finally out of this.

We're below mid table now anyway and only going to get worse.

Oak tree I assume want Suning to lose control of the club by not allowing them to enter the super league.

I'm very confused, as I thought the Zhangs were holding on to us PRECISELY because of the incoming ESL money.

The new and improved super duper league returns: Inter's stance is confusing, PSG and Bayern are still out, and all those mea culpa's by the EPL owners were false. Why am I not surprised.

After reading Agnelli's speech i think media have got it wrong. This is what he said:

"Super League? This is a collective work of 12 teams, not one person. 12 clubs signed a 120-page contract. It still binds 11 of those clubs."

It doesn't necessarily mean we have left. But, unlike other clubs, there's a clause that allows us to leave without paying any compensation if we truly want to.

I think his words had more a legal purpose highlighting the other 11 clubs can't just break contract and leave. They're binded by it

German Cup semi finalists: HSV (2nd division), RB Leipzig, Union Berlin, Freiburg
Spanish Cup finalists: Betis and Valencia
French Cup finalists: Nice and Nantes

More of this across the continent, less Superleague talk. Thanks.

I don't know why English teams want to join Super League. They are already earning a lot more than their rivals in another countries. Joining Super League means they earn the equal money.

Not really. They would still have the advantage from EPL money. In their ideal scenario they participate both in Super League and their national championship. And if Super League project goes through they will probably have their way. FA can threaten they will kick out those teams. But what product would they have without the top 6 clubs of the country? Who would pay to watch West Ham - Everton, Leicester - Leeds, Newcastle - Southampton, Brighton - Wolves etc. They need the top teams whether they like it or not.

As for the reason English clubs want to be a part of Super League? Greediness. Why saying no to more? ESL income would be far superior than anything they would get from UEFA.

Top teams from PL are more American nowadays. Liverpool, MU, Arsenal, soon to be Chelsea. Of course they want more money.

It will get worse with SL. There is no way Inter will be more competetive in SL than they are now in CL. It will be much worse. Would love to join this shit competition just to hear pro SL people crying when we are struggling at the bottom of the table every season.

We've got out of the group for the first time this year in 4 years and will be going out this round. We're already bottom of the table and the gap is only widening financially too. The status quo will mean we are fucked anyway.

WHY INTER ARE THE ONLY TEAM THAT FORMALLY QUIT THE SUPER LEAGUE

Inter have officially abandoned the Super League project thanks to a clause included in their contract with the organizers of the breakaway competition.

The Nerazzurri were part of the 12 elite European clubs that announced the Super League less than a year ago. It collapsed within 48 hours with Premier League giants quitting the project, followed by Inter, Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona are still involved and the Old Lady’s President Andrea Agnelli insisted yesterday that the Super League ‘did not fail.’
However, he added that the contracts signed one year ago are still valid for 11 of those 12 clubs.
“UEFA knew that I as Juventus president was working on something different,” said Agnelli.
“The Super League is a collective work of 12 teams, not one person. Twelve clubs signed a 120-page contract and it is still binding for 11 of those clubs.”

According to COPE, Inter are the only team that has formally managed to quit the competition. The Serie A champions had a clause that allowed them to pull away from the project if it didn’t gain the support of all of their sponsors.

Gap will be even bigger with SL cause Inter is in tier 3.

This league is good only for Real,Barcelona and few others.
