Greece 4-0 Kazakhstan in the first half. Didn't expect such a performance from Kazakhstan tbh.
We had 3 decent players which were key during the qualifications. One of them is Alip, the Zenith S.Petersbourg defender who had to miss the match due to suspension. The second was the left WB Zaynutdinov who was really good when he played for CSKA. Then he was transferred to Besiktas, a chaotic club that changed coaches like 5 times during the current season and each of them played him in different positions. He played as WB, AM, CM and under Santos, he has been playing as CB lately :palm:. Perhaps this made an impact on his performance, cause he couldn't do anything as an attacking midfielder yesterday. The third key player was Tagybergen, the captain who scored the equalizer against Denmark from long range. I don't know why the coach decided to bench him, cause he is a leader and the team used to play braver whenever he was in the starting lineup. Benching him in such a crucial moment... I don't know what was in the coach's mind.
We would still lose, even without all those factors. Maybe the score wouldn't have been that catastrophic. Hope getting this close to the EURO's will make our football governors change their attitude.

So Georgia vs Greece. I sympathize with both countries, but I root for Georgia slightly more. In any case, let the stronger team win.

Sakartvelo missed a good opportunity at around 10th minute from a set-piece

I think Poyet needs to resign.

He did well, much better than the previous guys, but this generation shouldn't be outside the Euro and some of our best talents aren't even featuring in the NT for whatever reason.

If I hear "punch they're ticket" again, I'm going to crawl through the screen and punch theirs, by Jove.

With Italy's flaccid attack, I don't have any hope of getting out of that group as Croatia is still very strong. Hopefully Perisic will be rusty after coming off a long injury 😀
