I would want it to happen because I can't stand Pep, but it's very difficult to happen. Arsenal doesn't have a "title winning" defence IMO, but they can do serious damage to any team with their creative players. And no way in hell Arsenal's eventual title winning would have a similar situation to Milan. Arsenal is playing great football and also deservedly are leading the table so far. Usually I’d be indifferent to whoever wins the PL, but after the acquisition of Haaland and Arsenals form coming out of seemingly nowhere and being first at the time when I placed the bet, I thought including Man City was a good way of increasing the odds while maintaining a very high chance of winning. Starting to get a little worried, not gonna lie. I also have the creeping suspicion that Guardiola will go all out to win the CL and could possibly neglect the PL at some point. I’d love to see Man City beating Arsenal, but I’m not sure if that game even has a date yet, I think it was postponed due to the queens death.

I know we have different opinions on Milan. I agree there was a lot of shithousery involved when they finished 2nd in 2020/21. Naturally I assumed it was a fluke and thought they would head downhill again after losing Donnarumma and Calhanoglu for free. I think it was when they comfortably beat Lazio in the first half of last season where I was quite sure they could actually pull off the scudetto.

In that sense it would be kinda comparable I guess, since an Arsenal league title would be as unexpected as Milan’s before their respective seasons started.

2. Xhaka excels in the B2B role
3. Jorginho is done on this level (I rate Brozo and Calhanoglu higher)
