I do like Džeko as a player. The issue is his age and potentially motivation.

As a player though, I've always liked him. He has excellent technique for a player of his size and great link up play. He also has the ability to score all type of goals. I actually think him and Lautaro would link up well.

We can't go a full season with nada. Making CL again is worth the price of having dzeko to hold up and play balls with lautaro (as well as score) and will definitely give us a MUCH better chance of making CL again.

Not to mention, playing in current CL, dzeko will be very good.
