From what I read he don't want to reduce his salary (5m/y) and we offer 3m/y. I find our offer adequate. I don`t know how much he still has in the tank.

He'll either settle for a €4m two year deal (possibly conditional 1+1) at a lower quality league (e.g. Turkey) or resign with us for €3-3.5m on a one year deal. Wouldn't surprise me if he plays really well until he's 40 though. I really like this mold of CFs and they're a dying breed.
