I still don't know how he missed that chance. It took more effort to miss it than to score 😀

I had a conversation with my old man about him a couple of weeks ago. I said, Dzeko is past it. Checked my messages, He has put that goal on with loads of exclamation and question marks !.

Dzeko is now the second oldest goalscorer for Inter in Serie A.

1. Sinisa Mihajlovic = 37 years and 47 days
2. Edin Dzeko = 36 years and 237 days
3. Giuseppe Meazza = 36 years and 233 days

Gds saying both Dzeko and Inter are willing to a new deal.

I dont mind a 1 year extension, but for the love of god, Dzeko needs to come of the bench. If Lukaku wont play every single game after the WC, cause of another injury, there is no way he should stay here for another year.

How many big, proper teams have a late 30's ST that they a)have, b) rely on this much.

That being said I haven't managed to see much matches these days but if we can give whackin correa the boot then keep him as a lower team option.

This is why we have him. Either bench option or if one of the starters is injured, at least Džeko is quality enough to deserve to start compared to Correa

Since we are broke, he is maybe the best rotational forward we can get for free.
Considering that we might lose Lautaro, and Lukaku+Correa most probably, Dzeko's renewal is a must.

Whether it's a good idea to keep him or not will depend, not only on finances, but on who else will be around. If it's with the current setup I say let him leave.
If we're going to upgrade on Lukaku and Correa then Dzeko is more than welcome as a 4th choice.

At the momemt, there are renewal rumours in relation to both Dzeko and D'Ambrosio. One thing that concerns me is that renewing our older players leaves very little room for growth in the way the team plays and something new. Given our finances, renewing older players translates into accepting the status quo and not really looking to significantly imprive and upgrade the squad.
