He has scored 26 goals in CL totally, only one goal less than Suarez. Not bad imo.

If him and our other attackers could regularly finish like he did on the first goal we wouldn't need 10 chances to make a goal.

If our players stop playing cute but play simple and effective like that we wouldn't have difficulties breaking into the opponents' goal. Many times I've noticed our players make poor decisions on the final third; we ruin many chances when our players blindly throw the ball inside the box. Sometimes they don't even look and measure the better possibilities. When we suck at crossing there is no point in constantly trying it. Look around and find better options in the middle instead of turning every ball into a cross.

Prime Dzeko > prime Giroud
Old Giroud > old Dzeko

He still has his brain so he can manage for some decent plays, but eventually he's too slow and wasteful to score.

Batistuta, Forlan, Vidic, Godin and now Dzeko, we don't have luck with old world class players who are past their prime. Only Miranda and Figo seems to work well.

Really? Mfers have been slacking, I have to step in:

He's awful. He's old, done, finished, bollito, a cadaver, a corpse. People rag on Lukaku's bad touch but this guy handles the ball like an elephant; what little attacking plays we have are over the second the ball reaches him. The only reason he's not the worst player of the season by far is that we've sucked so badly that he has lots of competition.

Can't really rate Lukaku because he isn't playing. For an old player playing with a team that is clearly having some mental/coaching issues, Džeko is doing okay. Just like Lautaro is also playing okay, but both need midfield to step up and show some balls.
